Talk about double standards, Scooter Libby simply says he can't remember about what turned out to be a non-crime and the Dems want him castrated then hung, Berger steals highly classified documents and destroys them and he not only gets a just little slap on the wrist, but a pat on the bum by the Clintons. Why doesn't Congress just pass a law making it a criminal offense to be a Republican and give Democrats a 007 type license to do whatever the hell they want with little consequence and save the cost of Congressional hearings. |

It is currently in the news PD, about Berger becoming an advisor to Hilary. What's wrong? Is Air America not reporting it yet? I am sure Keith Olbermann will have a comment for you tonight on MSNBC.

Jag -
would that be the news that Berger has no official capacity in Hilary Clinton's campaign?
i mean, i realize Fox News and the very desperate, soon-to-go-the-way-of-the-Whig Party Republicans are trying to smear things in such a disgusting manner, but that doesn't make it news.

Still old news, no matter what Berger is doing (or not doing, in this case) these days.
Still trying to fight the Clinton Wars, Jag? Pathetic, really. It reminds me of those crazy Vietnam War vets staking out huge swaths of peace rallies in the 80s, still fighting the war.

The Republicans have no choice. Either dig up ghosts of century past, or eat their own.
I'd respect them more if they showed some vision, honesty and morality and started some serious purges of the most despicable self-serving bigots in their party, but I'm not sure there would be much left.

LOL... Ya the Republicans need some honest and moral people in their party like the Clintons, the most corrupt couple since Bonnie and Clyde.

The Clinton's are like crack cocaine for Republicans.
Until they admit, as a party, they need help, there is nothing the rest of us can do but watch them go down.

they have been friends for 30 years. no biggie that they talk. but to say that this friendship was not directly involved with what was taken is ludicrous.

As in Shrub-Rummy having been "friends" and that friendship leading to an ineptly initiated/conducted war is ludicrous and your defense of the admin responsible fo rit is even more so? Or that shrub-cheney have been friends for.....
c'mon j-bar....form at least ONE opinion on facts vs ideologic hatred, would you please?

Sarge, that incoherent babble, you just tyoe was based on pure hate. What other reason would Berger steal classified documents other than to protect his buddies.

Berger as enforcer?
The more I see, the more I'm convinced that Clinton will be exactly like Bush in politicizing everything and spending huge amounts of time fighting political enemies, actual and perceived.

Yeah, I don't prefer Clinton as president, but I'd still rather have her than Rudy, Mitt or McCain. While I don't think Hillary and her entourage will be as bad for the country in terms of making disastrous decisions or continue the notion of a unitary leader or defy things like science (stem cell, global warming) and diplomacy (ya gotta hvae some of it), I also think that there's a lot of hatred stacked up against the Clintons, and it's baggage that will interfere with her governing. The hatred will result in more of the "we/they" politics as PD says, which is what a lot of us want to see ironed out (to whatever reasonable expectation). I'd rather have Barack, but not only because he does not bring that anti-Clinton sentiment.
