I need a new web hosting site, my old one was not php friendly. Any suggestions would be appreciated. |

I have very few complaints about Yahoo Web Hosting, except I had a conflict between their PHP/SQL stuff and Wordpress blog stuff. I moved the blog to Wordpress proper and had zero issues with PHP.

Owned by our own KKB. I host my company web site through him. Can't go wrong with a guy named Fred!

I had yahoo wanted to use a php forum and it couldn't be uploaded due to a dot in front of some the files. I will be using a php portal, so I am really concerned about them not being php friendly.

We have used hostmysite.com for over 9 years. We do nothing with PHP but they do have PHP plans.
I can tell you that their service is next to none! Everyone, and I mean everyone, you talk to takes ownership of the issue and does something to resolve it. I have had issues at 2 AM and have always gotten a live person on the phone and the issue resolved very quickly.
Their servers are very stable and their employees very helpful. Unless something drasticly changes, we'll never leave them. We had an instance a few years ago where someone on the shared box was creating problems for the rest of us. They moved our site to a new box in 10 minutes. They had us going and THEN investigated the issue. Instead of saying "we'll figure it out and let you know", they said "let's get you back up".
1) I do not own this company, am not employed by this company, don't own shares in this company, etc.; 2) I DO NOT give out glowing recommendations that often but these guys are worth the mention.
For the plan we are on, they are a tad bit more expensive but for the level of service we receive, I would NEVER pay less to get less.
That's my opinion but at least take a look at their hosting. I haven't been disappointed, hopefully you won't be either.

Thanks for the info everyone. We went with Bluehost, their package seems almost too good to be true, but we will see.
