Recently I've come across magazines claiming we've already entered into a semi-cold virtual world war.
I don't know about that but I have uncovered some interesting stuff about the computer war against Iran.
At first it seemed that the incredible unstoppable Conficker Worm was created by Ukrainian organized criminals. The giveaway/or headfake was that if Cornficker detected it was running on a computer with a Ukranian keyboard, it aborted.
Along comes an American expert and former? member of the intelligence community who has discovered evidence that Cornficker was used to insert Stuxnet into Iran's Nuclear program to set it back.
Then again both might be true. Isreali or USA secret services might have converted someone else's Cornficker to their own purposes. |

Then there is the worm that invaded the USA military. And what's this, the secret Internet Protocol Router Network?
Dunno if that is the same as the 'join your cards and form the super secure secret internet'. I ran across it somewhere researching cornficker, that in case of war or emp attack or some threat, a number of individuals would use their cards to activate a super-secure government use only internet.
Or the hardened and restricted military internet. Probably.
It's not the secret dissident network in a suitcase.
It's not Tor.

Interesting stuff. Future wars will be won by the most effective computer geeks instead of the most efficient soldiers.

China's Sykipot virus hacking exotic USA drones.
BTW I just researched USA drones for several hours and it is just amazing the percentage of resources going in this direction as opposed to other military areas. The Reaper is an especially significant factor and growing.
