If I were to include Freeman as one of my 3 keepers, I could select him in the regular draft as my last pick. Is this correct? If so, can I amend my regular keeper selection?

Sags you can do better then that. Just select him as a prospect keeper, along with 2 others.
Then at the end of the draft you can select him and you don't need to use him as a keeper.
The downside is you will only have 2 prospects after that instead of 3. So it just depends. What is more valuable, keeping your current 7 keepers and losing one prospect? Or losing one keeper and keeping 3 prospects. Most people chose to give up the one prospect and then essentially have 8 regular keepers when they bring the prospect up at the end of the draft.
I hope that makes sense?

Nope. Freeman had 571 ABs just last year, so he stopped being a prospect about last June, which is why PD brought him up. So Jorge was right in the first place having Freeman as a keeper.
So, either put Freeman back into the keeper 7, or he goes into the draft as a free agent. Then you'll have 2 prospects and can draft three new ones.
Hint: If you want to keep V Martinez, you can stash him on IR until he's good to go.
