1st game of season is Sept 4th, a Thursday night. I will be out of country and not internet connected (by design) from Aug 6th through Aug 27.
With those two facts established, either replace me in the league or delay draft until August 28th.
I rarely (today is first time in 3/4 months) check into the Guru boards, so please e-mail me what pleases the league. I am OK with whatever is decided. I would even delegate drafting of my team to some one else..if you have any ideas about who, please let me know. |

It's pretty tight, remember you have to get results entered into Yahoo a couple days before the season begins and get all the bugs ironed out. Things went pretty quick with kafenatid last draft.

we tend not to do live drafts on this board, preferring (apparently) slower ones that take several days.
additionally, that's labor day weekend, and i personally don't plan on being tethered to electronic devices all weekend.

I helped last year with the draft, which I don't mind...
We used Draftime to do it.
I would need at least a day to enter the teams and all and for someone to confirm everything looks good.
Are we not doing a slow draft this year again? Or are we doing a fast quick draft?

I'm leaving about 5AM Thursday, driving 6 hours to Las Vegas, then playing in a regional senior golf tournament for two days, three if I make the cut and play Saturday.
If a draft date can only be coordinated while I'm gone, I suppose I could auto-draft, but that takes a lot of the fun out of things.

I gotta beg just this once. Let me be open with some personal problems. Around three months ago my wife was diagnosed with diabetes which explained her leg numbness. The insulin cured the numbness. It also allowed her to feel the underlying problem. She has since been somewhere between screaming in pain and moaning in pain day and night ever since from neuropathy.
The doctors didn't provide anything that cut this type of pain. Around 10-14 days we discovered geranium oil and tamanu oil which FINALLY provided a significant measure of relief and we can both sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time.

The beg. My trophy case is bare. I can't find my keeper list. If anyone can tell me my ending roster IDP keepers I would appreciate it. I just am too overwhelmed atm doing my regular job, every last chore in the house and nurse duties around the clock to come up with the energy to dig any further.

Weycool - I am very tempted to reply and offer Gronk/Brees for Brady/Graham. I am prolly gonna gamble on Gronk not being made of glass his whole career and keep the year younger QB. Still tempted.

It is a non-snake draft. It looks like you get the first pick and the 13th pick, etc. There are a lot of good players in the draft plus all of the rookies. Also, every week the team with the worst record gets the first pick of waivers. Every week. After awhile your team will get better. And the top teams get the last pick of waivers. So, you can improve your team a lot.
I would think it's too late to be making trades. I wanted to make some. It was hard to determine who was getting cut, and who was even in the league, and the deadline got moved up with scant notice.
That's how this league runs, though. Welcome.

It's shaping up to be an ignominious loss for Weykool after a pretty good year for him.
Kind of a waste for my default team to be in the playoffs and then to actually do some damage, since I don't really have a chance to go all the way.
My team situation is so bad I'm seriously considering keeping Christine Michael even without any solid reason to think he starts next year. Giving up on Gronkowski has been an unmitigated disaster.
My high scorer today...Jonathan Stewart.
Weykool's top scorer...Pierre Garcon.

Last two weeks Graham put up a total of 5.50 points.
So much inconsistency its hard to make the right decisions.
Cam putting up almost 40 but averaged less than 15 points his prior 6 games.

I probably started with the worse team in the history of fantasy football but really enjoyed the challenge. I do a lot of daily fantasy sports and one of my Ventrilo buddies even won 10k 3 weeks ago. I had Graham on just about every team and he cost me 1000s of dollar. I still cashed on 17 teams even with that slug. My buddies kept telling me he is not right but I read where he said it was not affecting his pass catching. The SOB lied, he is not right.

In other news I take my lowly 7-6 [now 9-6] team against the recently 6-7 [now 8-7] Astade team for the championship.

With 30 seconds left, Alshon Jeffery catches a meaningless 7 yard TD pass. That's worth 7.7 points for Baldwin. Final score was 151.2 to 144.17, a difference of 7.03 points. I wasn't watching this at the time, which is good, because I have a new TV.

I feel for yah. We all realize just how good you managed this year and just how outstanding your team is. I'm still smarting about having dropped Moncrief and you having taken him before I could change my mind.
Not to rub salt in the wound, but were you aware Julio Jones was out when you decided to play Josh Gordon instead of Harry Douglas? Not a Josh Gordon fan this year.

They got that meaningless TD with 1:47 left. That was the only TD out of 6 TD's that did not involve one of Baldwin's players. He got 78 points on Sunday and 73 on Monday.

The announcers said Manning had 5 interceptions while Yahoo has him with only 4.
