Tucson brings in a +13(-1) class. Ranked in one pub and snubbed by the other.

6-0 Dalton Garvin +7

I had the lead on this guy but had 3 other people that were within 12 chasing me for him. He's the PG of the future for Tucson. Averaged 1.7 steals a game and only .9 to's per game. His attributes are so high because he is also an E rebounder.

6-3 Jordan Cisee +3

This kid can flat out shoot the ball and also play some D. He played PG in high school but will back up the SG position for now. Not really any weaknesses in his game.

6-9 Clarence Winston +3(-1)

Over 9 boards and almost 2 blocks a game for this guy. He will do a lot of the dirty work for us. He also averaged 1.4 steals a game. He'll be a backup at least for the next couple of years.

I have enough talent to make another run at the NTT. Just not sure if I've already used up all of my luck.

I did okay with my recruiting. I brought in a +10 class which is great, since the players who graduated only combined for +6.

My top recruit is Egan Finn 6-11 +5. He's going to start this season, as he replaces Francois Livers(my dependable 9 ppg, 9 rpg PF). Finn should be a better scorer, although his rebounding/shot blocking isn't quite as good as Livers.

My second best recruit is Floyd Quigley 6-3 +3. He's going to be a backup PG for now. Hopefully he can work on that turnover problem. He's a great defender, 1.7 stls/gm and not a bad shooter.

Then there's Kirk Rodgers 6-8 +2. I'm not sure what to do with this guy yet. But he's better than my NAs so he is going to play. I just have to figure out where to play him.

Congrats balls.

I got very lucky in recruiting this season. I won 2 2/2 ties, and a 1/1 tie (besting flying polack for two of those guys). I've probably shot all my recruiting luck for the next 5 seasons. My team is very balanced, with everyone being between +2 and +5. But, losing #2 pick Javier Denison (he shoulda been #1) will obviously hurt. I guess the 10/5 preseason tourney should help me figure out how good my team is this year. Good luck to everyone this season.

I dont even want to talk about my recruiting. As anticipated I got 2 walkons. Nuff said. I went for a bunch of studs and got rejected. I was hoping to at least get 2 guys. Oh well, this will probably be my last chance at a title, lost a +22 class, replaced by a +6 class :(

I need to setup some scrimmages...anyone want to do a home and home????

my freshman PG had 3 assists, 5 turnovers. I've still got some tinkering to do!

Mach has to play last years #1, #2 & #3 ranked teams in the preseason, he beat #1, so it should be easy the rest of the way ;)

Mach, I have no idea how we ended up with the regular season matchup. That is wierd. Have no fear of this squad, it definitely ain't the same in Hotlanta.

Hey, atleast I get to claim the "best three year record" title. Yeah, and not title to go with it. Choke Artistry 101.

Pretty cool, I just noticed I had 2 first round draft selections and a second rounder in the SimBA draft. Think that is a first for me (all three to go).

Hey guys,

I'm back. Last season was horrible for me. I got started off on the wrong foot when my wedding was the week of exhibition season and my honeymoon was the first week of recruiting.

I ended up with my first two walk-ons as coach of Reno. The one non walk-on was a guy I had 26 RPE's on, and nobody else had more than 13.

The class is an aggregate +3. To put that in perspective each of my previous 8 classes had at least one player who was a +4.

I'm looking for scrimmages for tomorrow night, so if you're interested in some home and homes let me know.

Mike

Chey,

I'll propose you a scrimmage or two. You and I were very close to having our recruiting seasons switched (we did max the same 4 guys after all). Outside of my max ties, I only had one clear lead on a +1/+2 type guy. So, I thought I was in a dire situation as well.

Vid,

Good luck tonight in the 10/5 tourney. Although we both go in 2-0, I have strong feeling we'll be 2-1 after we face the Posse.

Good luck to everyone in their fantasy football seasons also.

Would anyone be interested in helping me co-manage a team in lg 6? My best friend and I have been coaching this team(Pensacola) together for the last 4-5 seasons and he is stepping down. Thinks he's in love. Anyways, what we have been doing is one of us does the recruiting and the other gets to coach. Is anyone interested?

Albany finishes the preseason at 1-2. And I'm proud to say the Midgets didnt embarrass themselves in any of those games. Hooray! Thanks to balls, RSF, and J for the opportunity to play against such great teams. It's not often that a team can play the top 3 teams from the yr before.

Hopefully, I can put together a solid regular season now. Good luck all.

I know I usually say pesimistic stuff about my squads in preseason, but this time, I truely see the downfall of the Titanium Screws. We lack any quality depth, have very few scoring option (although Lyvers is going to light it up this season). On the positive side, we are still a quality DEF and REB team (atleast the front 5), which is what I think wins this game. We lack a true monster sized guy (I am addressing that this recruiting season). If I can overwork my front five, I think I can be a mid-level NTT squad, but its going to take some breaks. We are already starting in the whole at 0-1, losing to a very mediocre (career wise) squad in OT. Ugh...

For anyone looking for decent big men (PF types) with good rebounding numbers and Poor/None for LOCAL, look to league 9. All the guys I'd like seem to have those prefs...

I have accepted your challenge balls. Timing couldn't have been better. I'm on a 3 game losing streak, another win against the champs would be a huge confidence booster for this team. Much like the Raiders' win against the Bengals...oh wait...bad example.

There is no way you are going to win this game so you'll have to find another way to get the confidence back for your team. In our matchup Vegas has me favored by 10. Good Luck, you's gonna need it! ;)

10 point favorites hah! We may have lost the game, but at least we made a fortune on it. The Midgets don't need to win the NTT now. We can just BUY our championship rings! :)

Btw, that blocked shot in the last minute of regulation by Shain had to be a foul. There's no way that shrimp could have swatted Simms! No way!!

Good job though in covering the spread. I thought for sure I would win by more than that. You team just matches up extremely well against mine. I hope I don't face you again this season.

Once again it is called athleticism. :)

Hasn't been much action here lately. But anyway, after the W3/W12's I have a 1/1 max, a 2/3 max, and 2 3/3 maxes. I guess that's decent. But, I will be able to get leads on a couple of pretty to really good players (I think anyway). So, I'm happy. How'd everyone else turn out?

Weiss 1/1
Buchanon 3/3
Stout 3/3
Albert 4/4

Kinda figured this would happen. But I have two +3's on N/A so I thought it was worth the risk. I have plenty of role players so I went after some studs. Will probably drop Albert, have some other possibilities, and I like my chances with either Buchanon or Stout. Of course that means I could lose them too so we'll see.

I came up almost empty looking for some sleepers. However, I am now 2 points behind on a hometown kid who really wants to stay home. We'll see how the local factor really works since I don't have a scholarship to offer him.

Will need lots of help from the sim gods if I'm to have a decent recruiting class this season.

balls, you couldn't have had better timing for a loss! The only bad thing for you is you drop from a 1 seed to a 2 seed. But if you're gonna get a loss out of the way, you couldn't have had better timing!

My road looks like hell.
Second round potential matchup with jeff
Sweet 16 - bmd/RSF possibly (they play each other in Rd 1)
Elite 8 - balls :(

Yuck! too many gurupies in this bracket! If all the favorites win, I'll have to go through gurupies in each round (after the 1st game which I'll probably lose anyways again). Not good!

Hmmm...and the #14 team (Nashville) in RSF's bracket had a lower power ranking than me. He didn't win his conference tournament or win the regular season title either. Same goes for the #14 team (Cheyenne) in Polack's bracket, and that team had a #64 power ranking.

Talk about being screwed...

Since you're a down-on-your-luck-Raider-Fan I suppose I can help a brotha out and stick around a little while longer. ;)

Seriously though, I am planning on staying with my lg 4 team at least for one more season. Though, it really does suck that I had 7 games this season against the computer. If that number doesn't go down next season then I'll probably give up this team. I really don't want to give up on this lg and would rather give up my lg 1 team instead. I'm definitely giving up one team once the new lg starts.

If you wanna play a scrimmage Raider Guy I'll be more than happy to play ya once again.

Tough loss balls...you were so close to winning it all again! You would have been the first team to go back-to-back in Lg 4 (I think). Oh well, there's always next season, I'm sure you'll be back up there contending for the title. Hopefully, you'll still be playing Lg 4 after that. Same goes for the rest of you.

And please don't bring up my Raiders this season...you damn Chiefs lover! ;)

I put you down for Exhib #1. You'll be playing the PTT Champions (I hope).

My #3 game is available for anyone who wants it. Post if you're interested.

Alright, I've got ya set for game 1.

That was a tough loss but I didn't think we could win it all again. I didn't have as many horses as I did last season. If I don't win some ties this recruiting season then this team will just be a pretender for a while.

Good luck with your game friday!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to sign up for lg 15. 20 bucks doesn't seem like too much for an active league. If we got 8 of us together we could form our own conference, of course then it would be hard for gurupie dominance.

Glad I can say that I lost to the PTT chumps as well as to the NTT champs. :)

Recruiting wasn't as bad as it could have been. I did win 2 ties on two mediocre type players. One of em was a local kid who I was two points behind on and had no scolarship to offer him. They will both hopefully be career backups. They do fill some holes though for next season.
