Please Limit this thread to only listing your keepers and votes on the current rule proposals.
Keepers - A team may keep up to 8 players per year, with a maximum of 4 offensive and 4 defensive keepers. A list of keepers must be sent to the commish at least 6 weeks before the first game of the season each year. The first year, you can award 2 4-year contracts, 3 3-year contracts, and 3 2-year contracts to your players. You are free to "waive" a guy at any point in the future, you don't HAVE to keep him just because he's under contract. The contract is just the maximum of how long he can be kept. If he is traded his contract goes with him, if he is waived and picked up then it doesn't. A player that you assign a 2-year contract can be on your roster for 3 years total, since the first year isn't played under contract. Additionally, each year (except the first year) you have the option to allocate additional 4, 3, 2, and 1 year contracts (max. one of each) to players who you drafted or otherwise acquired during the season (no re-signings of players with expiring contracts), so you can have 4 "new" keepers each year, but then may only retain 4 of your existing players under contract in order to comply with the maximum of 8 per year. For More Information, Please visit the rules page
Ammendment Prosposals Please vote YES if you would like to adopt the ammendment or NO if you disagree and want no change.
1) Only deduct 3 pts for a Fumble Lost, not every Fumble. 2) Include 2 pt conversions. 3) Include Blocked Kicks & Punts in the scoring. 4) If a lineup isnt submitted for a certain week, the previous lineup is used. 5) Waiver wire grace period shortened to 36 hrs rather than 48. 6) Alter ST scoring as proposed by dgrooves in post 4 of the current discussion thread. 7) Alter OL scoring as proposed by dgrooves in post 4 of the current discussion thread.
Ammendments 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Yes 4. Yes 5. Yes 6. No 7. No
For the record, it was Nerf who originally proposed the new ST and OL scoring systems. As I showed in my analysis in the other thread, the ST changes dont really change much. The OL changes really hurt the position overall. It was one of the lowest scoring positions to begin with and Nerf's system reduces that output by almost 1400 points (roughly 50 points per player).

Keepers posted previously... on vacation so web access is limited. Amendment votes:
1 N 2 Y 3 Y 4 Y 5 N 6 N - mainly because I didn't understand the explanation of the proposal... I tried doing the math and got different answers so clearly I misunderstand the proposal - will ask questions if I it passes after I get back 7 N - OL scoring already low, now we're lowing it? Seems ill-advised, why not just remove the position in that case?
guys i'm sorry, but i can't find a place where to find my team, so i can't make my choices regarding the keepers. does anyone have my roster saved anywhere? can you send it to me?
i'll eventually post my keepers tomorrow morning (it'll be night there....) if i'll have my team's list of players. you know, it's 2:40 a.m. here in italy.....
4: manning, james 3: rod smith, shockey, gildon 2: o'neal, sharper, scott

Hmmm, seems like we've got a problem we need to address. Both mike and Ike44 didnt post their keepers by the deadline. In fact, Ike44 has yet to make a post in either thread.
I think, unless there are extenuating circumstances, there needs to be some kind of penalty/punishment for those two. What does everyone else think?
Also, has anyone heard from Ike44?

I know Ike is around, and hopefully he will post his keepers today. Dgrooves, I also think their should be some kind of penalty but lets give them another day.
wiggs, I'm pretty sure we went on the Jungle Tour. Is that the one where you take the Jet Ski's through the "Jungle" out to the coral reef and snorkle? That was pretty amazing. We also went to Chichen Itza on Tuesday. It was amazing! We even climbed the 2nd largest pyramid in the world (the 8th wonder of the world)...
-----------------------------------------------
I lost Ike's paper he gave me with his keepers. I called him and he said he'd repost them on the site tonight. I also emailed Mike letting him know he was the only one that didnt post his keepers and that he must post them immediately.
Once I get Mike's keepers, I will post a link for the excel spreadsheet containing every player with his 2002 Stats along with their team and contract length.
Thanks!

I am not sure the name of the place, i will have to ask kim, but they were located right in our hotel. The bull fights were cool, bloody, but cool. I wasnt all that impressed with xcaret, except for the last part with the show. Did you see that?
It appears as if Mike is on vacation or without computer access. I emailed him and have yet to hear a response. I know he is in for the league, because he has made multiple posts in the other thread. Hopefully he gets his keepers in soon!

Heres the draft order for the first 2 rounds (the order will snake for the remainder of the draft):

Nerfherders (.500 runner-up) 7. Long Beach Lightning (8th seed) 8. Art of Monk (7th seed) 9. beebop (4th seed) 10. Italian Eagles (3rd seed) 11. Furious Midget Klingon Horde (2nd seed) 12. I went through all the votes and all (1 - 5) ammendments passed. This means:
1) 3 pts are only deducted for a lost fumble, not every fumble 2) 2 pt conversions are included 3) blocked kicks & punts are included 4) If a lineup isnt submitted for a certain week, the previous weeks' lineup is used 5) Waiver wire grace period is shortened to 36 hrs rather than 48
Now we need to assign values for 2 point conversions (2 points) and blocked kicks (3?). Also, do we want to change the scoring systems for ST and OL? There seems to be some interest, but maybe we need other potential systems?

I think you are right on for 2pts conversion and blocked kicks. I am one of the ones interested in making changes to oline and sTeams. I just haven't taken the time to look into good changes yet.

Derek, what are the point categories we can use for ST and OL?
I am open to OL changes, so long as they don't erode the importance of OL relative to other positions. OL is one of the unique characteristics of this league (at least to me)... and if IIRC we already have 9 IDPs, a K, an ST, and 7 offensive players (i.e, it's only one out of 19 starting positions each week). I don't want it to become a trivial position. We've done a good job so far of making every position count (such as TEs getting 1 point per 5 rather than 10 yards, etc.), so let's make sure we maintain that with any proposed changes.
If someone would like to make a proposal, they need to lay it out before one week prior to the draft. That would allow time for the vote process then for everyone to alter their draft accordingly...
