I'm turning all slowing "trains" into Senators.
With five teams hitting a four day break next week and the sens sched. picking up.

still trying to figure out how to move Aebischer or if i should even bother. McLennan is looking more and more enticing...

merely a schedule concern.

Why would you want to move Aebischer? The only Stanley Cup contender he'll play against within the next 4 weeks are the Stars. The rest are walks. And their 3-4-3-3 schedule isn't that bad.

I've been eying Mclennan for a bit too, but I've tagged the morning of Nov. 12th to pick him up. (Assuming he's still a good option at that time.) My two goalies, Lalime and Khabibulin, have solid schedules until then, and Lalime is fine after that too. Khabi has a 1 in 8 starting then though, so its a great time to move him.

If U can choose which one is better option : Brendan Morrison or Marius Cherkawski ? I think people are buying Morrison more because many people have Cherkawski already and heīs widely hold... Do U agree with that ? I think for points Morrison and moneywise maybe Cherkawski. It depends of course much how specially Marius and Brendan plays in their next games. What do U think ? This is a hard decision :-)

Brendan and Canucks have better schedule. And Cherkawski has made his gains, look to have trade ready to offload him.

I think it is Brendan. Better sched and possible gains.

I think youīre right MagicAbe. Czerkawski might be too risky to buy right now (widely held). Two bad games and that could be the end of Marius money train.

Was thinking of going:

Forsberg -> Morrison
Czerkawski -> Guerin

before todays freeze, depending on Forsberg's injury.

after looking at the schedule for Dallas I went:

Forsberg -> Morrison
Czerkawski -> Tanguay

Wanted to get out of Forsberg because of the injury and Czerkawski cause his ownership is a little too high for me.

I am in tight in my TSN Basic division. I'm not very strong in hockey, so I need some help about my team. Here is my team:
Jokinen

Kovalchuk
Czerkawski

Butenschon
Cullimore

Nurminen

Guerin

I have two trades left and 1.71 million on hand
Any Suggestions would be much appreciated

Went Rob Neiedermayer > Jeremy Roenick

Wanted to go Khabibulan > Brodeur or Lalime but I couldn't afford it. I'll hold Khabibulan until the game against Washington, absorb the losses, and go from there. Was thinking of going Bulin > Osgood (St. Louis plays 4 games in the time Tampa plays 1) but Tampa plays Washington so I'm hoping for some big numbers from Khabi. If he gets a shutout I'll hold him through the week because he has a good schedule on the other side. If not...I'll move him for..I dunno yet.

What do you guys think of Kovalchuk? He hasn't had a decent game for a few games now. Think his train might be coming to an end this week? Or next week? Or not in the forseeable future?

Kovalchuk has a 2 in 3 and I don't see him going down as of yet.

Morrison is not that widely held and has a decent schedule coming up, he drop in price will be minimal and you I am going to hold. The most you would gain in 6 days is one game.

I dumped Morrison. Picked up Roenick in his place. Needed the extra cash to pick up Lalime but I probably would've done it anyway. Roenick's price is on the up while Morrison's is going down and Roenick is putting up decent points right now with a good long term sched.

Never under estimate the ability of the TSN managers to surprize you with illogical moves. Players as widely held as Kovalchuk can go down in price any day they don't play. He doesn't play today, so I suspect he'll have a bit of a price drop. However, with back-to-back games on Saturday and Sunday, there is no way I'm trading him today. I'll readily absorb any small loss he might post today. He won't be on top of the money loss list today. Nurminen, Morrison, Czerkawski and Vasicek should all lose more than Kovalchuk.

With the amount of owners with Kovalchuk the dam has burst, unless he gets significant points in the next game the tide won't be turned. If Philly shuts him down, we could see record dumping. And as illogical as it may seem, Lang might be the recipient during his layoff.

Those with trades left. Are you going to deal him tonight or will you take loses and see how he does tomorrow?

I'm not sure which way to go tonight. He could go down a LOT tonight because he's so widely held.

Had one trade left and a big dilemna as I had Kovalchuk and Khabibulan.
I was thinking of going Kovalchuk > Hossa in light of his potential to lose a lot of cash.

In the end I couldn't ignore Khabibulan's 5 days off though so I went Khabibulan > Dunham.

I'm gambling that Kovalchuk will have at least one big game on the weekend. Lesser of two evils I suppose.

I may dump Czerkawski depending on his game today.

Osgoode was a good pickup a few days ago with the shutout tonight.

Kovalchuk may be gone if he has bad games today and tomorrow

Vacisek: no clue yet

Wow, Lang lost more then I imagined. Looks like my plan didn't hold out, got a few points from him, now I will hold and gain his losses back next week. Not a fan of V. Bure, but he should compensate for my lang loses.

When I saw the 5-2 score I was hoping for more than an assist but I think he managed 47 points so that may be enough to slow the bleeding a little bit.

I agree though...these loses do suck.

there is always the absorb the losses and enjoy the differentiation strategy I guess.

My gut tells me that Ilya drops about $120-$160 today, and then as much tomorrow, and then a consistent negative decline unless he has a monster game (which is not unlikely). I am selling him for the popular replacement of Hossa (which is NOT meant to imply that he is the best choice, just that I see the wave from Kovalchuk to Hossa has already begun, Hossa has a game tonight (there seems to be a day trading strategy emerging of late), and Hossa and Ottawa do seem to have the best schedule coming up over the next 3-4 weeks).

I also do not see Ilya as high a producing wing as he was earlier in the season. Like many sports, players go in streaks, and with injuries to teammates, other teams keying on Kovalchuk more, and merely the tides turning on his torrid pace, I think it's a no-brainer to move him.

When looking at the teams in my leaguee, saw that only one team had Hossa so i made the Koval--> Hossa move. Now I can only hope Kovalchuk loses tons of money and produces few points

I just made the

Kovalchuk-->Bonk and

Lang--> Sakic moves...

I hope that Ottawa and Colorado score a lot of points...while making a lot of money...

I keep Lalime and Brodeur for the next week...

Have a good day!

Absolutely I went:

Kovalchuk > Bonk

I like Ottawaīs coming schedule too and I think Bonk will make more cash than Hossa for a long term. Now I have about 2,5 Mil more money too which I can use to uppgrade my offence for example buy Steve Yzerman or Nagy. -Meikkis-

I usually donīt like to ask tradehelp but now it would be nice to hear some suggestions.

Well I still have damn Vasicek on my roster and I want to get rid off him. So who to pick for a long term hold (at least 2-3 week pick) ?
I think Iīll make my move at saturday 22 after tonightīs game.

I have money left 5,8 Mil and the new player(extra attacker) can be center or winger...

Any ideas ? Thanks !

Meikkis - I would be looking at Luc Robitaille and Bobby Holik. For slightly longer term looks, check out Amonte, Recchi, Gagne (all from Philly), and also Knuble. For this second batch of players, you should wait and get the points from Vasicek's game against Tampa on the 23rd.

I would pick up Robitaille.

Thanks Irish for your opinions. I like Detroitīs and Phillyīs long term schedule and I made my move between Recchi and Datsuyk.

I went Vasicek > Datsyuk

because of his potential, last games points, cheap price and Detroitīs next days and long term schedule too. And it was worth it: 1 G & 1 A for Datsyuk = 74 TSNP. If Datsyuk keeps going I think heīll be on the basic price mover list soon. He is already an ultimate game price mover. Letīs see what happen. Go Pavel Go !
