Time for a new one.... Moving that bum Nasland today... Into Mr. Shannahan or Mr. Guerin.. I'll probably flip a coin..

I made one risk-taking move that I'll have to wait til after 12 to post so Rogue doesn't get any smart ideas on me!

I'm debating what to do with DiPietro, he missed last night with the flu, and Kippy has LA and then has to go. I need differentiation for Rogue!!!! Its so hard chasing down people who are regulars here :(

I'm not confident with what I'm doing right now.....usually, I'm over-confident.

174 from a full load at 82 million is just about as bad as you can do. I have trades, but there are not a whole lot of options I really like right now. I'll try and use them up later I guess, but I'm goign to need a little luck now after that crappy night last night.

Hejduk > Satan
Kippy > Biron

almost weny Sundin > Briere, but nah....

Lecavalier-Briere, Shanny- Satan. Don't know who to trade for Kipper no one stands out,no teams really hot, I'm totally at a loss. Tommorrow probably Fedorov(very nice the last two games)- Demitra. Slowly moving out of TBay players as they haven't been the greatest lately and their sched isn't that good.Last one left is St. louis. I'm at the point where I almost have too many trades and want to use them.

I went Sundin -> Briere and seriously considered going Luongo -> Biron, but held off.. if I knew for sure the Luongo would be rested tomorrow night, I would have done it, but since I don't know, I held

Interesting...I guess my move to Satan, also based on the price gains, was not much of a risk or a differentiation. Lots of Buffaloes roaming. And the move by J from St. Louis to Morozov, another one. Here's to Pittsburgh and Buffalo having some old-fashioned shoot-outs!

1 more really bad night with a full squad and I could be done.

And me, and Vokoun, a sure bet as far as bookie and I were concerned, can take a hike. Blowing a 2-0 lead at home to Columbus? Unreal. Nashville is clearly go to blow their shot at the playoffs. Edmonton is hot and they are cold. Teaches me a lesson in acquiring a player from Nahsville down the stretch -- I guess they did beat my rangers the other night. Not hard to do (then again, somehow, the rangers and a journeyman goalie beat the flyers in philly yesterday). Hockey is so unpredictable!

Vokoun --> Brodeur

Brodeur will surely start at home today against the Isles and then against the rangers, given that he had the night off on Friday.

My mini goalie rotation has been pretty unsuccessful. And Satan, to whom many have turned, has not done much. I guess I have to hold for his next two against CBJ and NYR, but it's difficult to do so.

I like Sakic and Forsberg at home against LA tomorrow -- hopefully, they snap out of the Detroit funk.

My goaltending or rather lack of goaltending is just killing my teams. I hope Brodeur starts tonight and gets me some points. He missed his last start cause of sore ribs. Now I'm just trying to finish in the top 10.

What with the top teams being so mediocre lately, the Legace/Cujo uncertainty, the Turco suspension, and now the Lalime/Prusek situation, and the usual end-of-regular season uncertainty of top goalies given rest for the playoffs, I think I'm having the most trouble picking a goalie I've ever had playing this game.

I'm almost ready to pick up Thibault for the hell of it, even though I can't imagine they'd play him on both days of a meaningless back to back his first 2 days back from injury. Talk about differentiation! :)

In the end I think I'm going to go with Osgood. Lots of games and I'm thinking he'll probably play most of them, since the Blues' playoffs are still not guaranteed.

Lets put our minds together and help smallworld out here! My team has slipped out of the race, maybe we can put a plan together to use the trades in the best manner.

I've looked at SW's team and unfortunately it looks like he'll need a lot of luck.. Starting with the magical double shutout tonight from Luongo and Biron.... But we'll give it the old college try....

For Today.. I see no moves to make on his roster...

My roster however, I have a decision to make.. I am considering the following sequence....

Nabokov -> Abbey/Biron/Manny/or Cloutier. -> Vokuon

And also tomorrow going:
Luongo -> Raycroft....

some of those goalies in the rotation, I could keep for two and skip Vokuon, but Nashville has to win and Chicago is awful..

Any input is welcome

damnit Rogue, I didnt see that you got Elias AND Tkachuk??? I thought you held Iginla and Conroy for some reason...Thats it, that ended my dreams. For the first time in my life I have paid money to TSN that I wont be getting back!!!!

Not to mention Conklin was supposed to start last night and didn't! DiPietro gets me 2 negatives, I just couldn't get over the hump and now I'm just wasting these trades like there's no tomorrow

=(

6-0 buffalo over cbj. Kudos to those like smallwhirled and bookie who had Biron. I had Satan. He is indeed satan. Nothing. Same as the other two nights. He has one more game to go for me against the rangers, and then it's back to St. Louis. Ultimately, as far as buffalo is concerned, it's moot, as they are winning and making a run at the Isles. Smallworld wise, it's making me ill.

Sorry J. ;) Same thing happened to me in baseball, lost my division by 50 pts and ended up not getting any prize. Should get 100$ this year for hockey, which covers my 2003 baseball/hockey costs/loses, and my one 2004 baseball team. (Which will be in the Belly, so 0$ there too. ;)

I think its great that we basically end up playing for free in the end... :)

Wow, has Forsberg been a bust so far... I'm still going to hold him though... Today's trades:

Luongo -> Vokuon

and two of the following three:
To Go:
Illya
St. loius
Lecavelier

To buy:
Sullivan
Samsonov/walker
Thornton...

I'm leaning towards Illya and St. Louis for Sullivan and Samsonov...

Any thoughts from the crew...

J. I'm almost certain that Raycroft will only play one of the next 2..That's why I'm not going to him... Potvin plays at least 1 in 5 and more times than not 1 in 4.. Raycroft has played 4 in a row..

Luongo > Vokoun
Sundin > Thornton
St Louie > Murray

Gotta hope Sullivan doesn't do much, it's my only shot.

I made a last minute adjustment and went with:

Luongo -> Vokuon
Illya -> Sullivan
St. Louis -> Murray - A little chat with SW made me take a second look.. Murray is streaky scorer and due for a streak.. Besides he shoots the puck 100 times a game.... ;->

Got the wrong Goalie yesterday.. Brody or Osgood would have given me a SO... I still got a solid performance, except for the goal with 14 seconds left in the dang game....

No trades today.. barely holding onto top 50.. it's going to take some solid stretch play to keep my ranking...

somehow i am in 51st now, from 20's practically all year. With good quality moves, so I thought, my guys are sucking.

Time to pull some different picks - can we say chicago and washington. blah.

Very cool, SW! You are down by 100 TSN points and have 3 trades in hand. I'd be bettin' on you all the way, dude. Biron paid off beautifully, and Forsberg finally scored some points last night. Kudos -- keep on goin', man. Your success is our success.

I'll probably move Sakic/Forsberg after their CBJ game to grab two guys who play B2B to finish the year. My current roster all plays the last day of the year, so any unused trades come that day would be wasted.

I went Luongo -> Osgood on teams that didn't have him, and into Vokoun on the one that already did.

For the Oilers and my TSN teams fortunes, I'm hoping this trend continues.

2004-02-11 Nas 2 Chi 5
2003-10-19 Nas 1 Chi 3
2003-03-27 Nas 1 Chi 4
2003-01-12 Nas 0 Chi 2
2002-11-17 Nas 2 Chi 4

I went A-Ray hoping that the Cat does not get a start tonight.
