Subject: Week 13 trades

Only players I really must let go are Savard, Jokinen, and Kovalchuk. I swear if Vokoun, Sullivan, and Zidlicky didn't do something today they would have all gotten the axe. Even though they have one hell of a schedule. |

Slats - I can see you are in this just to flex your web muscles.
It is evident that your brain capacity is very limited. For example, logically by looking at my name a 5 year old would understand that I don't like the Habs.
Don't get angry at me for asking you to post your WWR, its not my fault you are terrible.

I missed the good opportunities to convert Tanguay into Kovalchuk/Hossa, Ovechkin, and Jagr due to not paying attention during the holidays and due to being late for afternoon game roster freezes, but somehow got lucky with Tanguay scoring 3G and 3A in 3 games. Now he's got Colombus and St Louis coming up, and I've got a trade in hand, and I'm doing all right, due to sheer incompetence.
Funny how sometimes you can do everything right... and lose out (you pick up guys who get injured right away, or immediately go into slumps or whatever), and other times, you can f*** up and still do OK.

I envy anyone who's been able to make a decent amount of RV over the past week. Seems like everyone's got a bank of trades and are wasting no time in using them... It's as if anyone with an off-day, let alone 2 days off, is a risk to make the $ losers list.

The Modano/Morrow to Thorton/Cheechoo will be worth about 300 points on the night. Did it in one of my two non-ESDNHL teams, (Ice Tax).
Funny sometimes when you field multiple teams in TSN .... 1 or 2 will suck and the other will blow the doors off. Going into November this team was sitting around 2000th overall...tomorrow it should crack the top 50. My other two teams are in the 700-800th place overall.... and sinking.
Never has made any sense to me.

Yesterday moved Lethinen to Nash and it pays off already, 2 goals for Nash last night, with their schedule, I could see a nice replacement for the Atlanta wingers....
Heatly should be suspended for his next game he got a game misconduc in the last minute of the game this is an automatic 1 game suspension??

From boxscores it looks like it was just a regular 10 minute misconduct, not of the game variety.

unbelievable. If the 1 game suspension is the case, then he's gone. But if I wanna use that same slot to get him back....the team that makes the most sense is Nashville...go figure, I traded Sully yesterday.
It's been tough trying to stay afloat in terms of RV the last week and a half unless you had a ton of trades. Probably the most disappointing guy has to be Demitra with big ownership at the time of a real mediocre sked and the appearance of a ton of C options at the same time. He has really taken some big hits.
Going good here though. 16 out of the last 17 days with positive or even WWR movement.

Refused to move McCabe so far, but the 1 in 6 (2 in 9) coming is a little too much to take. Gonchar seems to be a good option, albeit in gravity.
McCabe and Gonchar both have a 2 in 2 starting tonight (CAL-EDM vs ATLx2).
Would you pull the trigger early for Gonchar to catch those two ATL games?

If you don't need that extra couple mil immediately.....I'd wait. I'd take McCabe vs. anybody right now.

Hossa/Kovalchuk > Nash Heatley > Ovechkin
I was contemplating Nagy but the opponents that Phoenix face are tougher.

I'm not even sure if it's worth moving Auld, but ive got Nittymaki and Turco pegged as decent outs... One of them, or Hasek, is likely going to be Gerber next week.

What is wrong with Demitra???
He didn't played last night and I can't find anything on him for now, I'm already having a difficulty to replace Savard now if I have to find 2 Center I'll be spending the entire day sitting in front of the PC...

Heatley > Gagne Heatley > Nash Heatley > Ovechkin
the team I went to Ovechkin on was a mistake... I meant to go Nash on that one too. Darn. :( I've been pretty sloppy over the past couple of weeks.
Still debating who to get from Savard (and Demitra if he's hurt on 2 teams)
Probably no one who plays today. Crosby, Forsberg, Thornton all possibilities.
Thornton is an intriguing one... his game on Tuesday is against Boston. I'm thinking he's going to be a force of nature in that game.

All sort of move today!!!
Demitra => Forsberg Savard => Arnanson
Heatly => Ovechkin
I decided to hold McCabe cause I couldn't find any replacement and I'm sure I would have wanted him back anyway, so I'll take the hit and save the trade...
I have some concern about Hasek but with Spezza close to return and a nice sched comming up, match with 2 bad games from Emry, with no B2B he should start them all and he needs to step up for Alfredsson...
I might move Arnanson to Spezza depending a return and the performance of the firts one...

Well, with the update on Demitra being "doubtful" for tonight, I traded him for Crosby a day early.

Wow, wtf happened to Garon last night??? -48 TSNP
Oh well, can't complain as he's been amazing for me, last couple of games excepted.
Anyways today I went Tanguay > Jagr x2 Morrow > Jagr x1
Tanguay has really been a nice surprise for me this past week... I'd held him due to negligence, and it worked out in my favour. 314 TSNP in 4 games. Sad to see him go!

Caribou, I realize that and even have 6 trades, I however just traded away McCabe and don't want to waste trades on my D-men. Visnovsky isn't injured and I am not satisfied with other d-men. I already have Redden, and lindstrom. I can definately see others trading though, I would rather do it for other positions.

Not for a bit. Wouldn't feel safe until he's played at least a few games (remember Spezza?), and then Ottawa's got the 1 in 5 coming up.

The 1 in 6 is 2 weeks away, I think mangers can take a safe risk in picking up Alfie for a 2 week period. I should of pulled the trigger last night but the spezza situation was in the back of my mind.

I'm havin a hard time moving to Fedorov since he went so long without production.. 14 pts. in 29 games..
Do people think he's going to keep up these multi point nights with Nash back?

I think he'll be pretty consistent.
I'm set at centre for a while though, so I won't be trading for him anytime soon unless one of my guys gets injured or something.

Yeah, he's been on my rosters since he came back from injury, and obviously I'm disappointed. I could use that $ elsewhere...right now, I can see moving him to Federov, who is hot and who has a 6 in 9 starting tomorrow, but the other side of me says that Forsberg could explose any day with a mega streak. Probably should move; the pattern of low scoring has been established - at least with Philly on the road.

Also, after reviewing the schedule, next week, Philly has some weaker defenses and opponents including Boston, and Pittsburgh 2x...could be some big games then.

Its just frustrating to have a 10 million parking space while managers who can't afford him are moving up. I'm tempted to move out of him for his 2 in 6 and then back into him. I can gain an extre 2 games out of federov. Therefore: Forsberg -> Feberov(13th)->Forsberg(19th) crosby -> gomez on 17th.

Right, Gomez presents an attractive option at center as well. NJD playing better, clearly having a nice spurt with the Elias return, and the line of Elias, Gomez, and Gionta is really playing strong. I watched some of the NJD-Philly game the other night, and that "EGG" line was fast, skilled and creating many scoring opp's.
