My queue is good as long as someone shows up in it.

I have set up a queue. Use it as long as it lasts. I really don't care anymore.
As I posted previously, I will only be able to check in periodically over the weekend. If it gets to me and my queue is empty, the Commish has my permission to put in a free form place holder to keep the draft moving. When I check in, I will give my replacement.

I picked Kris Newbury as a placeholder for Scott Niedermeyer

Question 1:
Was late round 12 too early to pick a guy that is retired?
Question 2:
How much longer would he have still been on the board?

Stop scooping my d-men.

Yeah I had Niedermeyer and Zhitnik at the top of my queue, and I was going to flip them around, but I went with the higher potential reward first.
From the sounds of it, I am glad I did!

I didn't expect him to make it back, but Zhitnik was moving up on my list, and would have been the next D-man i took. He could put up some nasty (in a good way) numbers for you if things go well.

I have refreshed my queue. Use it for as long as it lasts. I won't be able to get back onto the net until tomorrow afternoon, so hopefully it will last for at least a couple of rounds.

Its funny how we are actually getting more accomplished on the weekend than we do during the week! Our projected finish has just moved up to September 27th from September 29th on Friday.
This is obviously a result of queues finally being left!

Should I be worried that there are a bunch of guys getting drafted that I have never heard of before?

I'm leaving a short que for tommorrow because I'll be at work. If it's no good by the time it gets back to me then put a placeholder in there.

wonder if Tommyd forgot to make his last pick. I figure he made his pick then Taxman's too since it was so fast. So he should have made his second pick right then.

I thought that a DP made his pick and the Q was emptied after the first pick, since tommyd said in post 86 that he would be at work today.

Hey...
If we were to start this draft all over, same categories and rosters, 3 keepers, who would be your top 5 picks?
Me:
1. Crosby 2. Heatley 3. Luongo 4. Ovechkin 5. Spezza

Woot! First one finished. Crosby, Heatley, Thornton, Ovechkin, Kipper, Luongo.
I have 2 of the 5. The rest of my team...well sucks...

Crosby, Kiprusoff, Luongo, Thornton, Ovechkin.
Ovechkin makes the list because he is a LW.

Crosby Thornton Heatley Luongo Ovechkin
It will probably be like that for a few years to come, i suspect.
Good draft everyone, looks like well be in with a few days to spare and tinker around. Are we doing a recap thread like in past seasons?

I'd go (not in this order though):
Crosby, Kiprusoff, Spezza, Thornton, Ovechkin.
Since everyone knows that I never go with goalies early.

Alright...all the players have been entered, and Yahoo is up and ready to go. All undrafted players will be available as free agents in 2 days.
Check your rosters and make sure I have all your players correct.
Good Luck All! I don't have time to set up a recap right now, but will get to it tomorrow if nobody sets one up by then...

If you set up a recap thread I'll gladly submit might thoughts and analysis. I'd be interested to her from you all on this draft, especially with the 3 keepers... I'd like to know what you bums wuz thinking. Cause I had a hell of a time drafting from the #12 position. I know one thing for sure. I won't be in that draft position next year. lol.

Anyone looking here ? I'd be willing to trade one of my center for a Def. Using Yahoo trading block is also good to trigger activities in the league.

I would, if I had anyone good to trade, I've got Crosby and a gaggle of scrubs & underachievers!

Hey, thanks!
Yeah this is #2 for me, i believe i won year 1 as well. I don't know if i would have lasted another few weeks longer at the top as my lead has been shrinking on a constant basis. Good push by CSF, and a fun year overall.
Can't wait to do it again!

RGFHL Year 2 CSF The Dienasty
RGFHL Year 3 The Dienasty CSF
Thanks to Barilko for running the league. I'm off to join the Leafs at the golf course. I'll be back for Year 4. 11th pick if I'm not mistaken.

Just a thought. Anyone want to try something different this year?
ESPN is also having free fantasy hockey this year.
