Hey guys...thanks for keeping things moving at a great pace over the weekend.

I am back now, but will be away all day tomorrow. Once again I will set up a lengthy queue.

For those helping make picks for Superfreak, make sure you take a look at his existing team and positions before picking off the top of his queue. So far I think we have done a good job on the guys we have selected for him.

Lastly, I had Byfuglien in my queue for a long time, and moved him to the top for my 9th round pick only to see him go 3 picks earlier. Ugh. He will post great numbers for a Def. this year.

Hold the draft!
I was designated picker for Beezer, but didn't want to make his pick (Erik Johnson) because he's out for 6 to 9 months.
He should of course have checked this himself before making his Q, but I still don't like the idea of picking an injured player.
Shall we continue the draft, or wait for Beezer to change his pick?

I made the pick for Beezer.

While I do appreciate the value of leaving queued up picks, the news about Johnson's injury has been out there for 2 weeks now, and therefore should have been known news.

If anyone disagrees with me, let me know, and we can see about a repick, but I know someone got stuck with Brad Isbister a couple years ago when they read an old rankings report that had him listed pretty high.

Yeah, I remember that Isbister pick, lol. I also remember a Semin pick that was changed because of an obvious spelling mistake. But I'll make my pick if you don't want to hold up the draft.

I', for going on. Setting a que is the same as making a draft pick. Selecting a long term injured player in either is "the pick made". Not our job to give do-overs to other managers.

Last year with the first pick of the draft (after keepers) I selected Emery, G, Ottawa...I didn't get a do-over.

That was my thinking as well Tax. I know we did a re-do with Superfreak in this draft, but I think that was a much different scenerio.

He threw a ton of guys in a queue and gave a couple of us permission to look through and select the best guy that fit a need, not necessarily the top guy. Gonchar was selected and then quickly deleted.

Gonchar was injured after he made his queue and after he became unavailable to change his queue.

I just feel sorry for Beezer, since it's his first D-man, and not being able to redo his pick will be tough to repair.

No do-over guys. I was working off a draft list and didn't check him out as I should have. No one to blame here but me. Thanks for keeping things moving. Besides, when I win anyway it will just make it that much more legendary. :)

Guys...those of you that have been appointed designated pickers for CSuperfreak, please remember that he just threw some guys in a queue and trusted a few of us to scroll through and pick a position of need.

Please keep long term injury status in mind when making these selections as well, as he is not around to make those judgement calls himself.

Well, I gambled a little bit on Gonchar before the official news came out, and seems I lost that gamble, effectively losing out on only a 12th round pick, so that wasn't too costly.

I did manage to snag his heir apparent in Kris Letang, so hopefully that works out for me!

Heh. Yeah, I had a few in the queue and lost them before I came up in the draft. There is a real drop off in skill in D-men in the NHL. My plan was to pick up some scrubs at the end, let things shake out for a few days then work the wire for defense.

I will be away Friday, Saturday and Sunday and I don't know how much, if any, access I will have to a computer. The way the draft is going, it doesn't seem that we will be even close to finishing by the time the season starts. I will leave a queue, but if it runs out, just pick someone for me and I will replace them when we get started.

Yeah, the season starts with 4 games on Saturday and Sunday combined, so it would be good to have things done by Friday if possible.

We have been moving fairly well, but still have 5 rounds to go. TommyD has been on the clock for 4 hours now with no word.

Guys its the last couple of rounds, time to start leaving lengthy queues so we can get this thing done, otherwise we are looking at a 2 hour time clock, which I don't think anyone wants.

I'm for starting the clock..2 hrs works for me. Not fair to wait around on folks who won't make advance preparations via queue or giving another manager free-form access to pick best available player. We are sitting on 5 hours at this point for the 16.06 pick.

Like Little M, I will be unavailable most of the w/e due to son's wedding et al.

At the 6 hour mark, I will enter a placekeeper for TommyD and we will move on.

We agreed on a 6 hour clock at the start of this draft, so I will enforce it here. Its not fair for everyone to have to wait.

That will be at 4:58 pm EST

My sincere apologies.

Have no idea what other screw ups I caused today.

I left a queue that still has three players in it...but apparently I didn't make it available to my designated pickers.

I have spent the last week hoping we could finish this thing before today, the beginning of 4 days celebration and reunion with out of town family gathered for the wedding of my son.

have a great w/e all.

Lol yeah i didn't expect to get in more than 2 picks today, we'd been averaging 2 rounds per.

On that note, another draft is in the books. Good luck everyone, let's get this show on the road.

ALright, the league has been started. Check your teams, make sure everything is ok. At noon today, all players will be available to be added so that people can set their line-ups for tomorrow's game.

Nice finish everyone!

I couldn't change the waiver wait for undrafted players, so they will be clearing waivers as per Yahoo.

I find it humorous that CSF wasn't present for most of the draft, yet somehow drafted a better team than i did...

...Ok, maybe it's not humorous, more just sad.

Thanks for the picks guys. The team looks really good on paper. Greatly appreciated. I had a hard time ranking the queue because the up down functionality is very difficult for a 90 man queue.

Looks like a very competitive group again. Good luck.

It's Sat noon here. Weather is great at the Sunshine Coast.

I'm back...

should be a good one. Lots of movement in the offseason. I plan on full attention this year. No vacation to interrupt the draft.

Once we get confirmation from everyone we'll need everyone to declare their keepers.

As a reminder please check out Post 54. 4 keepers this year.
