Well yesterdays NYK / Cha game B. Knight did get a technical. And he wasn't in the game in the last 5 or 10 minutes or so. I didn't think anything of it, but maybe it's a disciplinary thing.

they are still just keeping his minutes down... its usually 6 in both 1st/2nd Quarters and then usually 8 in the 3rd/4th. At the start and end of each half with a hole in the middle.

regardless of Knight's status, Knight>Parker post freeze for me... Bobcats gotta start going anyway, so why not start it. Looking for Primoz replacement, hopefully Kristic is a C in a couple games.

The Nets announcers said something about the Nets signing Jerome Moiso. He will probably cut into Krstic's minutes.

I don't have the hatred you do. Do I think what he did this year in Toronto was right? Nope. But I don't spend time berating him in the action thread.

Why don't you point out how well he played tonight? Interesting that you have avoiding point out how great he actually played tonight. He singlehandedly got them the big lead in the first half.

its not just this year, its his whole attitude. Granted he got hot in the 2nd Quarter, he made 2 3s in a row. He finished shooting 8-19. Not exactly great playing. And when he was hot, he felt the need to shoot the ball from 6 feet behind the arc. Single handedly? hardly

taste, try not to be biased. I'm not sure what your grudge is (from Toronto? Knicksfan? hurt you on a fantasy team at some point?) but why can't you just say he played real well tonight?

He did single-handedly carry them in the 1st half. That's a fact. He didn't start the game, came in after Jefferson got 2 fouls, Kidd played just 6 minutes, and they went to him as if he was already their star. I call that single-handedly.

In your next biased reply could you please tell me what your real reason is for hating him is? I'm curious now. Oh, and if its because you are a Duke fan that's just sad. I am a huge Duke fan and I don't hate him.

i believe he took 12 of those shots in the 1st half with Jefferson in foul trouble and Kidd getting the limited minutes as he continues to recover.

Who should have taken those shots? Jason Collins? Jacque Vaughn? Yeah, you can tell me Krstic. But is that because you have him on your fantasy team or because you think he is a better offensive option than Carter?

i actually hate Duke. I am a knicks fan, but i definitely didnt want him on my team. Ive never had him on a fantasy team. I think hes a very good player. Top 20-30, athletic wise probably top 10.
I saw the game, i am forced to watch nets games, its part of my job. Carter didnt get hot until Kidd was in by the way, he was the one dishing to Carter when Carter started hucking shots up from 6 feet behind the 3 point line.
I hate him because he is a waste of talent. He fakes injuries when hes supposed to play D, then basket hangs and does windmill dunks. I dont respect that type of player. KMart used to do the same thing. He chucks up shots for no good reason, hes not a team player. He is the definition of a selfish player. What else needs to be said.

I hate Kobe much more.

hey taste - I agree with you about KMart! I hate that guy... haven't seen enough of VC to judge yet. But he did play pretty well tonight, especially for just coming off the injured list. Maybe he will look more like "part of the team" when he understand the offense a bit more. Right now he is just playing one on one and on fast breaks etc.

unf'nbelievable... not paying attention i sell Ridnour instead of Knight. Good thing I got extra trades laying around (and good thing Ridnour hasn't done crap anyway)... I am too tired, I need sleep - and this all happens cause I can't make trades at work anymore so I have to work around it making them at weird times.

moving Knight cause he has to go in less than a week anyway... so why not be ahead of the curve especially with the $ laying around. I went to Maggette which gives me the G/F flex when I have to move Wallace/Primoz and possibly Okafor.

Funny thing I was watching the Nets game last night and my wife comes home, who is far from a die hard sports fan, and sees Carter being carried off and says "He's not hurt again, they need to put him out to pasture?" I thought it was funny. As a long time Raptor fan, Vince is just frustrating to watch now, he comes off as being a whiner. As taste said he hasn't lived up to his talent. Although in his defence he will never be the player he was due to injuries and he never gets any calls. Not defending him but I've watched games where he tried to go to the bucket and gets hammered and nothing is called because he has the rep of a soft player although he still takes way too many fadeaway jumpers. It would be nice just to see him give 100% which he hasn't done in Toronto for a long time.

good enough? not really. we can agree to disagree.

I think you go a bit far on your assessment of him. Magic Johnson he's not but you make him out to be Kobe.

I never heard these complaints about him before this year (tail end of last year too I guess). Let's give him a chance on a team that isn't awful and see what he does. If he continues to play like he did in Toronto this year then I'll agree with you. But I can't hang a guy because playing in Toronto for a team with crap talent for a coach that didn't like him isn't the easiest thing to do.

so whos biased? In my assessment i said in clear print, i hate kobe much more, thats not calling him equal to Kobe, its calling Kobe worse.

I really cant believe youve never heard Vince Carter be criticized. He has been called over rated since his rookie season. He was dubbed selfish for going to his graduation on the same day as Game 7 of the playoffs. There have been plenty of instances, check Toronto papers after year 2 or so of him exaggerating injuries. Just watch him play, offense vs defense. The intensity difference is staggering.
