so much for lower RV gains...Camby only up 20K.
oh well...good start for camby. he just had a put back jam on the break while he was falling out of bounds. WOW!

*Intruder* (non-GMD though)
Qwerty123 #135 - I went exactly the same way. I like the Camby move in order to move Howard to Nash/Marion and eventually back to LBJ. Camby becomes Howard again.

Marko Jaric has a sprained foot and ankle from last night. He is apparetnly questionable for tonight.

dodged a bullet there.
I am considering upgrading shawne williams today, with just enough cash to get RJ...but I think I would prefer not to use all my money. I suppose I could always get money by downgrading Howard or Kobe when I sell them, but I also have Daniels to consider.
G, what are you thinking with Antonio?

On my other teams which have Daniels, I am in a wait and see mode tonight. I do have a trade reserved for him if needed. On one team, I may have to raise some cash with the trade to be able to afford Lebron sooner than later. Otherwise, I was hoping to hold but his recent games have not done much for that.

Awful night for me... Williams, Dirk, Camby, and now Jaric. If anyone hears anything about his status for tonight, would you please let me know? Thanks.
With two trades and Jaric up in the air, I'm wondering if I should still do Howard to Kidd or wait until Tuesday to move him. Jaric sounds like he shouldn't miss much time, if any, and he's not too widely held yet, so I might be willing to wait him out if it's nothing serious.

I don't own Brewer yet so that is my plan.

Qwerty123,
I saw the play Jaric got hurt on. He dove on the floor and got up limping. Everyone thought he had floor burn. A few minutes later he was still limping and came out. So it didn't seem like a big deal and if I hear anything, I will post here.

Thanks, G. It doesn't sound too bad, so I'll probably hold regardless, but I'd appreciate any info you hear on him. Is anyone moving Howard to Kidd tonight? qwert had a good point about Dwight's upcoming opponents.

Qwerty, I plan on holding Jaric as well unless I hear it's something serious. Minny's schedule is good through christmas.

I may be asking to lose points, but I think I'll move Howard to Kidd. In return I think I'll make out really well on money. If I wasn't moving to Kidd, I'd probably go to Marion or Nash on Tuesday. The fact that the buys on Tuesday will be split between Nash, Marion, Stoudemire, and Jefferson limit each player's individual gain, whereas Kidd will be the primary gainer today with multiple ways into him. That could be a difference of $50-80k.
I'll then save on Howard's losses in the next 3 days. $~300k. I'll also get back into LeBron 3 days earlier. $~300k. Using season averages, the disparity is only about 20-30 points, which is worth the money IMO.

I upgraded Shawne Williams with a complete last second change of plans. I didn't like something about Mcdyess, so I went in a completely different direction with Calderon. I realize Ford is back, but I think Calderon can average 35 until he loses the starting spot and can still stay around 25 after that. Call it a raptors fan's hunch. I also find it a lot harder to fill guard spots.
I decided I will plan to eat Daniels losses and hold him through next week, as I anticipate the losses being concentrated to a day or two with him.
We'll see if this differentiation move pans out or blows up in my face.

That Calderon move looks good for now. Daniels laid an egg which is going to hurt.

ya, i think i'll probably have to move him
i'll probably wait til 11pm tomorrow and move him for telfair or udrih.
wolves fans' perspective on whether telfair will keep getting the minutes?

Telfair is an option as long as Foye and Jaric are out. I can't imagine Jaric is out long but the coach likes Jaric and Telfair together (for now). They just wont give us any news on Foye so I have to think it will be 2 plus weeks. He will have to get back in to shape anyway.

The Telfair minutes may also depend on when McCants returns. Jaric appears to be the primary point guard when healthy with Telfair the backup for point and SG. Foye is probably a couple of weeks away although he has apparently been doing more things in rehab.
I think I would opt for Udrih given the choice.

I am still holding Howard, and not by choice. Got stuck in the ASU/U of A traffic yesterday and missed the NJ tipoff by 3 minutes so I still have Howard instead of Kidd.
So I'll have Howard for at least tonight and maybe tomorrow.

Well, Howard didn't reward me with points last night but somehow he did make 30k, which has me scratching my head.
Anyway, my only real serious options out of him are Boozer or Kirilenko. Boozer doesn't have a lot of ownership and has the high price tag. If I go with Ak I save the 3 million which I can use to fix a couple of spots but I also risk him going back to his 20 point ways.
I'd rather not add Marion for a 3rd Sun who will all have to be traded soon. I guess I could try Dirk but I feel like the Jazz are a better fit.

I think it would be hard to have a third Sun since many will get traded in a week.
AK may be the safer with Boozer injury status.

qwert,
Rotoworld said nothing of anything wrong with Harris. In the game thread someone said he got hit in the head. He has been great for you up until the last two games. After a day off to heal they have 2 games and still a decent schedule. I wouldn't even consider selling him let alone over Howard

I wouldn't trade him before Howard, but if he is injured, which he might be since he only played 26 minutes, i'm in a little trouble.

If he didn't come back in after getting hit in the head, I would be surprised if it had any impact on his next two games.

I think it still might be a good idea for me to look at a long term option rather than going for one of the Suns.

Normally Jefferson would be a perfect long term option, but he does have a nagging injury at the moment. Boozer looks like he will make some rv and can be held for close to 3 weeks, 4 if you hold through christmas break.

Any team consensus on what sun to take? I'm leaning towards Marion as the safest play but I bet he makes the least of the three. I could be talked into any of them.

Re: Harris... I saw the play on tv. He was under the basket as a shot went up. Noah flew in for the rebound, and came down with all of his weight on Harris' head bending his chin down to his chest. He laid on the ground for a bit, and went to the locker room and did not return, although the Mavs led by double digits for most of the game. The trainers didn't do any of the usual precautions, so it's probably just a sprained neck.

Hey guys and thanks for picking me, twolves. I felt like such a loser on the waiver wire.
My team isn't in good shape with trades but I'm definitely happy with my FV.
3 trades this week are already lined up for Louis Williams, Kobe, and Kidd.
Still holding Jaric who better play tonight. I guess it's a good thing there's a couple Minnesota guys on the team.

I think Calderon will be popular pickup. As for Lebron--with him not playing tonight--there may be less incentive to pick up right away--not before 12/11 or 12/14--so two trades down the road may work out--especially if there is a player you might be contemplating trading.

I finally chalked jaric up as a mistake and went to Calderon. I can deal with freeing up money for lebron later.
I went back and forth all day on which sun to take, and ended up with Amare. I guess we are due for a little luck.
