Well It was a very tough choice to drop Coldwater as he has a proven track record in past years but is off to a slow start this season. We add JMISA to the squad and hope his energy and decent showing he has shown thus far will jump start our team and move us to the top of the standings. |

with so many going sour highly owned players on everyones roster .... it seems there's going to be mass sell offs of everyone this week depleting all 4 trades we jus got very soon .... some managers who had saved trades may dig into their savings this weeek as well .... why dont we go over the matter now since most selloffs will begin tommorrow
People under consideration of being traded that our squad has many of (IMO in the order they should be considered)
1. Kaman 2. Kirilenko (i dont have) 3. J Moon 4. and 5. (Tie) S Jax + B davis 6. Udrih
1. Kaman is probably the most held person amongst the GMDers that will most likely start to leak tommorrow ... true he is the best producer for his price and points wise its def worth it to take a game for every 2 days but he looks like a must go tommorrow ... question is for who> bynum? shaq?
2. Kirelenko.....nuff said ... he sux ...some may wanna keep him since he still has his schedule to bank on but after last night's games i see major leakage on the way not to mention he is still the 4th most owned forward
3. Seems pointless to trade Moon as he used to be so consistent and has a great schedule for another week or so but he is the #1 owned forward and really underproduced lately and judging from other posts it seems many were waiting for the B2B to dump ... and last night wasn't a strong case for a hold .... there aren't many good cheapie options ... travis outlaw seems like a lateral + jaric was a bust last night ...telfair+dorrel wright may be options
4+5.
GSW still with great schedules til new years and both have been performin up to their averages but i think some people get scared at the high ownership of these 2 as they pretty much hit their peak prices ...i think there are those who are using baron as a possible entry way into LBJ or wade too so expect some losses tommorrow if u hold ...... S jax is in the same boat perhaps for a package deal with another cheapie/stud
6. I didn't realize people were thinking of trading udrih already but apparently they are ... i saw him as more of a long term hold up through january (or whenevr bibby got back) .... i will probably hold but for those fearing RV losses it seems the 16th is when that will start big for udrih
Its good to see we rid our squad of calderon (even though he may start again via TJ ford injury last night) so i think that covers the possible trades that will happen this week
Thoughts on that ?

Craig Smith is another possible cheapie replacement for Moon or Udrih - although he could turn out to be a big tease. I'd expect he'll escape gravity after last night's 46 TSNP.

Wow is my team ever a mess. Wish I'd taken Tinsley instead of Ellis. I'd be up .5 million, have more points and not have to deal with the injured Ellis. Will trade him for Tinsley today.
That leaves me with many problems and only three trades left. I'll wait and see what happens with the games tonight before deciding what to do with Kaman, Kirilenko, Baron Davis, Jackson and Moon. I likely only have two trades to deal with all those problems as I really should keep one available in case of further injuries later this week. Any advice is welcome as my recent decisions all seem to be poor.
Sorry about my terrible team performance so far.

Florian:
We all feel your pain. The worst part about all the players on your/our list is that none of them NEED to be sold and there isnt that many clear must have replacements. All of their schedules are decent. Maybe a couple have been underperforming but I doubt the replacements will do that much better. Many will move Kaman to Bynum but my guess is Kaman's 2 games will outscore Bynum's 3 games. Aside from a little 1 in 4 Baron and Jackson can be held till January. Well Lebron return to pre-injury form? Is Wade really "back"? Nobody is talking about the underperforming Brewer. You could make the case that he needs to go before Moon needs to go. What to do????.....this may be the week we seperate the men from the boys.

another quick question
i was going to trade Rasheed today and get boozer
but with all the kaman trade talk tommorow should i jus keep rasheed to fill the C spot or go get Bynum (kwame is back)

JMISA:
The theme of the trading week is follow the money. I would hold onto Rasheed. He doesnt have that many owners. We will all need to decide which players the losses are acceptable and hope that the gains from those we get will offset the losses. My guess is if you can break even in the RV game this week you will be ahead of the game.

JMISA, I agree with everything you said in post 95. I hate trading Kaman but it looks like a must at this point and unless AK puts up over 50 he is must go also. I think the GS players are holdable (SJax more so than Baron) I have been planning all along to move them both tomorrow for bynum and Kobe but with all the other players that may need to go I may hold one or both. Moon put up a 22. Decent for his price, if he falls in price tonight I will package him and cash in for sure. Like Weykool said its all about the money. The next step is figuring out who to pick up from all these players.

well i made a blunder today and traded rasheed for bosh > (i was suppsoed to get boozer but saeh e was already up 700k and bosh at 8.6 seemed liek a steal with 2 great games coming back from injury) i hope tonight was just a down night for him
that leaves me with a C spot open for Kaman tommorow meaning it looks like it will be bynum (bynum will be a huge train) that leaves me 5.5 million to use to either upgrade S Jax or Moon
suggestions anyone? i can only get a F or C unless i rid udrih instead of moon which is also a possibility as his shceudle dries up earlier then moons
Looking into tinsley / dorrel wright / barnes/ rudy gay / pryzabllia/ possbily boozer (groan)

Kaman=>Bynum SJax=>Wade
That leaves me with 2 trades, and Moon and Udrih. I don't think SJax is as vulnerable pricewise (although last night's 12 TSNP won't help his cause), but I can't fit Wade from any of my cheaper players. I have no intention of dumping Baron - although I also never want to spend my last trade early with him on a roster.
I could flip Moon to someone (probably Dorell Wright), but I don't really want to get down to one trade on Thursday, so my tendency is to suck it up. However, if the team thinks it's worthwhile for me to make that move, I'll reconsider.

I do note that Moon's game on Sunday is against Boston, against which he got 8.5 TSNP in 34 minutes last time. More reason for pause.

Guru:
All of our teams will have the same questions to ask. I think we will all need to decide what each of us are comfortable with. I went: Kaman to Bynum Ellis to Wade Moon to Dorrell
2 trades left and considering SJax to Gay. Holding Baron and his losses. Would be left with 1 trade and Brew/Udrih. While leaving yourself with one trade is normally a bad thing this week is as stange a week as I can ever rememeber. It isnt like we will see the price changes and see that any of the players we are holding took a surprize drop in price. They will all lose, it's just a matter of how much.

Have 3 trades left. Will save one (hopefully that's enough) for the inevitable injury.
Will trade Moon to Bynum with my first trade. It seems Moon will bleed heavily until his eventual must sell date on Dec 23rd. That leaves me with .25 million in cash.
Will hold Kirilenko as his schedule remains solid and Okur may miss some time providing more opportunities for Kirilenko.
Debating on using my other trade on A. Kaman for Rudy Gay B. Davis for Wade C. Jackson for Gay D. Being crazy and doing two of the three above trades leaving me tradeless on a Thursday
Leaning towards A. as Jackson and Davis both have the same good long-term schedule and are really being sold for money gains, while Kaman would have to be sold next week anyways.
Guru I'd move Moon to save the RV.

or option E
skip Bynum and trade Kaman/Moon to Wade and either Craig Smith or Przybilla

I'd do the Bynum thing - he should be big cashwise, and there just are not any centers at that price who are producing. While he is not putting up the points that Kaman is, he is more than $3 million less than him. That said, Brown's return could really cut into points for Bynum.
I'm going Kaman/Jackson to Wade/Bynum as well. Kaman is too highly owned for me to try to hold through after the Calderon thing earlier.
Not sure where to go for Moon, yet, but is anyone looking at Telfair? Just about 1 PPG less, but almost a million less than Smith.

I'm holding him. He was the other possible move into Wade, but I think that he will outscore and out-money Jackson over the next bit.
Will probably move him when I am ready to go to LeBron or the like (though with the current moves, that will take two trades).
I am assuming with all of this love for Wade that LeBron is not yet on anyone's radar.

My other option might be Moon -> Someone like Bogans.
This would give me enough to go from Davis, Boozer, or Howard (should one of them get hurt) straight to LeBron, though with a small window.
Thoughts?

ok, final decision is (at least I hope it is final)
Kaman+SJax+Moon->Bynum+Tinsley+Gay
Good luck to those taking Dorrell, I think he is a good pick considering what is available out there.
It was either Wade+Wright or Tinsley+Gay. In Ultimate when in doubt, I say take the longer schedule.

So far I've moved Baron/Kaman/Moon for Gay/Bynum/Wade. I wanted to move Jax for wade but he's a F on my team and guard spots were filled. Since Udrih has to be moved in two days anyway I'm leaning towards moving him for Telfair now to max the gains. That would leave me with 4 trades and SJax. I could move him for a F under 8.81. I am holding AK. No player jumps out at me and with all the others that are supposed to go I think his losses will be diluted. Any suggestions on the Telfair/SJax issue?

That would leave me with 4 trades and SJax.
Show off.
With all the other players needing to go I'm not sure Baron will bleed all that much. I would make sure the move for points make sense. For that reason I think AK can be held as well. Another option might be to get Dorrell instead of Gay.....hold Baron and get Wade from SJax. Just a suggestion but I defer to your judgement....you are the one holding the 4 trades.

2 trades

Blooki, it was a totally different situatation. It's like saying buying Moon now is the same situation as 2 weeks ago.
On tuesday, half the league had back to backs and no cheapies needed selling yet. Moon still had a B2B to redeem himself and Udrih was a hold.
This Sunday, only GS and Portland have B2B and in reality, there are simply no cheapies available. Wright had a very disappointing game, which causes another option to get taken out of the equation.
Regardless, I'm not a fan of this move which is why I posted here asking for feedback about it. I think I'd rather take Daniels, who will probably produce close to 10 tsnp/g more

150K - sunday 100K - monday 80K+ - tuesday 60K - Wednesday 150K - Thursday 60K - Friday 60K - Saturday gains - sunday

Don't have Udrih, but have Davis....
Am wondering whether to go big from Davis with my last trade (i.e. D. Williams), or go really small which would let me go to LeBron or anyone else on Wednesday (possibly from AK depending on his performance tomorrow).
Other possibilities are mid range like Turkolu, and I don't have Gay yet. Don't have enough to go straight to LeBron, or would do it for tomorrow.
I think with the Gay move I can go AK -> LeBron.

I ended up selling Beno for Telfair. I can get him back from Brewer. Just figured the losses would be too big to ignore. Have really been focused on building RV so I dont need to have players that are cheap and inconsistent. Didnt like Outlaw's short schedule. Might take a hit on Baron but my guess is he gets more than his average, although I doubt he will be able to make up for today's game. The plan is to hold Baron over this rough patch in the schedule barring injury. The 350K price wing from Beno/Telfair should help soften the blow.
