Flu, left shin, right shin, now lower back, make's Kaman questionable for Monday:

Center Chris Kaman was out for Saturday's game because of a sore lower back. Kaman also was hobbled by a sore shin, but he hurt his back during Friday's victory over Utah, and couldn't play against the Lakers.

"I takes three or four days for that to calm down," Clippers trainer Jasen Powell said of Kaman's back. "He had the same thing in training camp and was out two weeks, but this isn't as bad."

Kaman is considered questionable for Monday's game against the Boston Celtics at Staples Center.

Kaman limited to 25 minutes a game.

Deron Williams missed practice due to a family medical matter but expected to play.

Good Dwight Howard News

With the game well in hand, Howard left with 6:37 remaining with a bruised right quad muscle, sustained after he collided with Corey Maggette. Howard said afterward that he would be fine by Friday's game in Miami, although Van Gundy said he might give him off from practice today.

Rudy Gay played just 18 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Nuggets, finishing with nine points and four rebounds on 3-of-8 shooting, before aggravating a hamstring injury he suffered Tuesday at Phoenix.

"I'm not usually hurt," Gay, who is day-to-day, said. "I tried to play but it was tough." -Rotoworld

Marion out per Rotoworld.

Heat forward Shawn Marion was out on Sunday with a back injury, his second straight DNP.

Heat coach Pat Riley said the injury was aggravated on Saturday night when Marion backed into an object in a garage. Consider him day-to-day and start him next week at your own discretion. In the meantime Alexander Johnson should team up with Mark Blount in Miami's starting front-court.

Baron and Ellis

Nelson said an MRI turned up no structural damage on guard Baron Davis' right pinkie finger, which was jammed early in the Warriors' win Saturday against Memphis. Davis, who practiced Monday with his ring and pinkie fingers taped together, said the finger had improved since Saturday and is expected to play tonight.

Ellis' brother was released from the hospital after being shot in the back twice over the weekend in Jackson, Miss. Antwain Ellis, 27, was released Monday from University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jeffery Scott said. There are no suspects in the shooting and no arrests have been made. Monta Ellis was at practice Monday.

Caron Butler has a chipped bone in his left wrist, the result of a tough fall he took while making a layup during Thursday's win over Cleveland. Butler told me that it won't require surgery and that he can play with it. However, in the last two games, it's clearly been a problem. He's had trouble dribbling with his left hand and gripping the basketball has been an issue as well.
Caron: "Some of the things I'm used to doing out there I can't do right now because everything I'm doing is right-handed, but there are no excuses.

Shawn Marion made it through Tuesday's entire walk through in Milwaukee and will be a game-time decision with a sore back.

Ricky Davis did not practice with the team on Monday because of a groin injury, and he is questionable heading into Tuesday's game.

Kobe Bryant jammed his hip after falling to the court near the end of Tuesday's game. He had a mild limp but doesn't expect the injury to linger or cost him any time.
"It hurt for a minute and then it released," Bryant said. "I'm A-OK."

Manu Ginobili is dealing with a tender right ankle he tweaked on Monday, but shouldn't miss any time. In addition, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said he plans on bringing Manu off the bench for the duration of the season.
"[The ankle] is a little sore," Ginobili said. "I just jammed it. I didn't twist it. It doesn't feel real good now, but it is going to be fine tomorrow."

Lamar Odom was sent home from Saturday's practice because of a lingering respiratory infection and is questionable for Sunday's game.

Odom left a shoot-around on Friday with the same illness, only to play later that night and finish with 11 rebounds and 11 assists (granted, he was 1-of-7 from the field). Hopefully we'll hear an update before tip-off.

Update on Butler:

Butler doesn't believe that the hamstring problem is related to the left hip issues he had earlier and he hoped that a couple of days off would be enough for it loosen up and allow him to play against Milwaukee. The good news, I guess, is that he said the hip hasn't been a problem at all.

and now its Jamison's turn...

Antawn Jamison was seen wearing a sling after spraining his right shoulder during Wednesday's game. He did not practice on Thursday and will be examined by doctors sometime later in the day. The unofficial word is that he's expected to miss "at least a couple of games."

Owners should sideline Jamison, and it looks as though his status is in doubt for the most crucial week in the entire fantasy basketball schedule. It's a cruel game, but there's still a possibility that we'll hear a positive update in the next day or two.

The Kings have three studs questionable for Saturday's game -- Kevin Martin is sick, Ron Artest has a sprained left thumb and Brad Miller has a lower leg strain.

Artest is having X-rays taken later in the day, and owners might have to scramble to bench these guys if we don't get a positive update in the next couple of hours. Francisco Garcia and John Salmons should have big games if Martin and Artest can't suit up, while Spencer Hawes is a fine fantasy option as long as Miller doesn't play.

LeBron James-F- Cavaliers Apr. 9 - 12:24 pm et

LeBron James will play in Wednesday's game against the Nets, despite concern about his lingering back spasms.
He sat out the Cavaliers last two practices, and is only playing because the Cavs are eager to secure home-court advantage in the first round. They are also trying to develop some team chemistry, but all owners really need to know is that their MVP will be active.

64 - Nellie took Ellis out with 2 minutes to go in the third quarter and he never returned. The Warriors had the game in hand, Ellis has carried the team on his shoulders for the last week, the reserves were playing well, so Nellie decided to rest him so he'd be fresh against Denver on Thursday.

Interesting quote (in bold) from Gerald Wallace below. That explains many things!

Gerald Wallace, likely out for the season because of a lingering groin injury, plans on doing yoga and pilates this summer to avoid another injury plagued season in 2008-2009. Here is a disturbing quote from Wallace: "I've been in the league seven years, and I've probably stretched twice." That is completely amazing, and helps to explain Wallace's many pulled muscles over the years.
