KI, I went invalid in baseball sometime in August and I just started sleeping a little last week. It was a deadline slow computer thing also.

Tyreke Evens is gonna be a dilema for me tomorrow.... obvious value play TSNP/$$$ wise with a great schedule.... but 39% ownership (wow!)... I have always had trouble pulling the buy trigger on a guy with high ownership like that....

He'll gain a little on this 4 in 5 and then lose for the 1 in 5. If you buy now, you'll actually lose a little short-term RV. But he's a great long-term hold and I personally don't care about money with him. He's a great value and one of the 10 guys I definitely want on my roster right now. I'm holding through the losses. Few players as good as him for the price.

Now that Hughes isn't starting, I'll have to use my one trade for him instead of Bargs. Not a clue who to pick up. Have to save $4 mil to get P Gasol from Bargs Tuesday night. Crap!

Just started studying the GMD standings a bit tonight.... the good news is We have the fewest Anthony Morrows in the league.... the bad news is we have the most Larry Hughes and Corey Brewers... We have a firm hold on second place.... we would be close if I had not DNPed the other night... ALL in All I think we are off to a very nice start!!
Thanks Guru for that roster summary macro... seeing what I have side by side I think will save me bunch of time.... I start moving players and I usually get to a spot that what works on one team is impossible on another and then I forget what I did where... that should help!

ki - your "DNP" actually hd no impact on our team results, since the two lowest scoring teams in each period are excluded. Even if your points that night we included, I think you would still be in the bottom 2, so your goof really had no impact our our team results.
Don't know if that makes you feel better or not...

Leaning toward Hughes=>Brook Lopez today. (Guess I should have done that yesterday, but was still uncertain about whether to get Lopez or Jason Thompson).
Moving today gets me only one Lopez game in the next 3 days vs. 2 Hughes games, but that might be a wash (depending on which Hughes shows up for the two games), and will certainly be a price winner.

Guru - makes sense for RV and points. I've got Hughes too, but not sure if I want to trade him now and hold Bargs through the trade refresh or use my last trade for Bargs > P Gasol after tonight game.

hey team - would it be better to hold Bargs or Hughes through the refresh? I would go Hughes to either Dunleavy or J Thompson right now, or Bargs to Gasol after tonight's game. I'm afraid Bargs will lose 200-250k the next couple of days...

in that equation, Bargs is probably your biggest loser for the guys you would hold and Gasol is probably the smallest gainer of the guys you would buy for the rest of the week.

I'm thinking it was probably a good idea to stay away from Oden after reading in the afternoon that he was limited in practise with a sprained ankle. Wonder if that contributed to the knee thing. Was going to go Ilyasova -> Oden. Does Love start looking good?

I can't decide who to move Bargs to. 4.2 in the bank with no solid options. P Gasol, Duncan on the higher end? Stuckey for 4.6? I really some ideas...

Stupid question.
Why wouldn't you keep Dirk for his game last night and grab someone today. Looks like trading Dirk last night cost you 37 points, assuming you got Thompson.

Unfortunately I can't predict player results. Thompson was the guy I wanted and both played yesterday. Based on averages I was looking at -13 for about 200K but Thompson had Pho so I was hoping for a little better performance. I don't trade early very often and my RV has taken a hit lately because of it. Oh well.

I forgot the most important part which is that trade #4 of my next planned moves will be very tight which is the primary reason for the willigness to give up a projected 13 points last night.

Same here. Not sure he's essential, and have no way into him that makes sense, barring a complete tanking of one of my other players.
And Money, seeing as how you are out of trades, I suppose you mean Wednesday, it may be a tad to late for him by then. +90 and +100 already, with I'm sure two more big gains tonight and tomorrow. I'm not sure I'd buy in.

162.....
Actually, your comment has made me think about how to manage my GMD team this week..... Unfortunately for our GMD team, I am the ONE guy that I cannot be dropped during the waiver period on wednesday, in spite of my poor performance. The only player who needs to go for money purposes is Larry Hughes. In spite of the fact that he plays a back to back, his points are gonna be irrelevant so I trade him to a person whose schedule STARTS being good on Wednesday... And I think that person is probably Trevor Ariza or Kevin Love?? So now I have to figure out when? I am guessing Ariza could still loose today and Hughes could actually be up tonight so if its Ariva I probably do it tomorrow.... If I want Love, then moneywise that move is probably best today. I think it is probably best for me to hold the rest of my trades thru wednesday. That will let me start the next trading period with a strong schedule.

KI, what schedule are you looking at, Hughes plays tonight, then his schedule goes in the toilet. So seeing as how you are targeting Love or Ariza, I wouldn't do it until tomorrow. But you're right, he needs to go.
Pick one, IMO. Love should gain again tonight, but I don't think he's a poor choice, getting him tomorrow. Ariza is cheaper, G/F.
If I read your post tight, if you want Love you intend to sacrifice the Hughes game. I don't like to do that, but, who knows, he may pull a disappearing act again. SO, I guess it's up to you.

ki[92] - depends on whether you are managing your team "for real", or simply for GMD. If the latter, then you should move Hughes for Love now. The points are irrelevant to our GMD team, and the price swing will be favorable.

Went Ilyasova -> Love
was planning Hughes -> Ariza then Anthony -> Gasol Should I keep Frye at refresh...If not it would leave me about 5100 for a player at any position
Too late for CDR Landry,Stuckey,Varejao,Wallace Anybody else? Just stay Frye?

M4L, $0.02 from the guy bringing up the rear on this team.... I like Gasol of you options if your have given me (assuming you have the cash). 1 Gasol... 2 Love.... 3. Dunleavy
On my radar right now is (in no particular order!) Mo Williams (Will never be a big night... but given his schedule this month he is gonna score a lot of points!), Gasol and Kobe(schedule heating up for Christmas), and a cheapie -- J Willy in ORLANDO (filling in for Jameer Nelson... putting up great numbers, good schedule but no love????)
Also interested in what people are doing with Tyreke Evans during his 1 game in 5 days next week? Although he is not on my GMD team... I think I'm gonna hold him on the teams that I own him on.

Hold, hold, hold on Tyreke. I'm buying into Carl Landry for my cheapie. His minutes have been consistent and his production is 30+ over the past two weeks. He's got the Moses Malone schedule starting Wed. Gasol and Love are fine buys as well.

M4L,
You are doing great.... Please do not panic, IMHO (and I am VERY INTERESTED in others feed back!) this team FORBIDS you to touch either of Noah or Ellis(unless injured on Friday) between now and Sunday. We can talk about possibly trading them AFTER we see how they do on Friday night on Saturday morning...... In the new thread that I start in the morning!

Ellis went for 38 tonight which is his average YTD. Both Noah and Ellis will be sold this week so that wont help your "saving trades" effort unless you take the hits. In GMD am def holding Ellis until after his B2B.

If ya held Noah and Ellis this long, ya might as well get the benefit of the b2b and then figger what Thunder/Clippers to trade them for. I'm currently looking at Durant and Eric Gordon. I love Camby's numbers but that dude has wrecked me time after time after friggin' time. Don't think I'll have the cojones to go there again.

Plans are to move Ellis/Morrow/Noah to Durant/Camby/someone.
I have enough cash to be able to move either Noah or Ellis to Durant now. Obviously, both Noah and Ellis play on Friday and Saturday, while Durant plays only on Friday. So, from a strict game count, I'm better off by waiting until Sunday to get Durant.
However, how do you suppose two Ellis games (@Chi, @Det) or two Noah games (GSW, Bos) will compare to one Durant game (@Mem). My thinking is that 2 Ellis games should outpoint one Durant game - but I'm not as sure about Noah. He should be fine vs. GSW, but the Boston game may not be as good.
Further, I'm not sure what the relative price movements will be for each over the next three days. Durant should certainly go up starting today, while Ellis and Noah will probably start leaking now.
So - assuming that Noah is a better drop than Ellis, would you be inclined to move Noah=>Durant today? I'm thinking that even if the point differential is unfavorable, it might be worth the price differential.
