0 Subject: Kentucky Indians GMD Team -- TP3

Congrats to DeeJay's team -- they had another terrific trading period. He boasts 4 or the top five GMD players right now. I love that our team still leads the league in dialogue. Lets keep it UP! The season is still young and we are firmly in second place. Here is hoping each of you help us make a run.

Thank you all for playing and sharing a part of yourself with us. Enjoy the blessings of Christmas.

Changed my mind. Going Nash to Paul and Thompson to Noah instead of Love. I don't like that Love will be sold Su - Tu and Noah should make some coin on Thursday.

Ugliest thing I see on my roster is three MIA players. Only one is doing anything lately..LOL

Lebron > Paul on 1/4
Thompson > Haywood, Blair or ? on 1/3

Would hold Thompson if injury bug hits or Beasley gets worse (hard to imagine).

Decided to keep Gasol instead of Duncan...Went: Duncan/Ariza -> Wade/Blair
Tired of watching Duncan dominate for half a game
Would it have been crazy to go Duncan/Ariza/Lebron -> Wade/Randolph/Wallace?
A little limited on sked but those 2 guys have been special of late

Plan is moving Kobe/Pau=> Wade/Boozer, although I hate to part with either one of them.

Any thoughts to moving TD=> Boozer instead of Pau? They both play the same # of games through 1/15, I doubt I'd hold either one that long, although it does reduce my margin for a future move from $550k to $400K.

Yeah, main reason I'm going Pau to Booz is cap room and ownership. They're probably equivalent values considering their cost. I get to use the money elsewhere which should gimmie more points in the long run.

Keeping Duncan for the LOOOONNNNGGGG haul.

FWIW - games per week upcoming
Duncans 3-4-4-3-3-4-1
P. Gasol 3-4-3-4-4-4-2
You Lose 1 game in next 3 weeks but than everyone will be buying back into Gasol with 4 full weeks in a row

Man, this week has sucked. I get 200 pts last night while everyone else gets 300+. Have I got too many $3-4 mil cheapies on my roster?
Jennings - 3.66
Williams - 3.76
Deng - 5.83
Wade - 10.85
Beasley - 3.96
Wright - .51
James - 12.55
Boozer - 7.50
Thompson - 4.25

Question: would I be making a really big mistake by going Lebron to someone cheaper than Paul? My thinking is that I would free up more cash to upgrade Thompson to Arenas on 1/6. My options from Lebron might be D West (NO) or back to Pau. Just thinking out loud.

I blew my team up today.... traded Lebron(boy I might regret that?)/Love/Kyle Lowry(how did he get there?) to Dwight Howard/Dujuan Blair/Dewayne Wade....
so M4L -- no I do not think trading Lebron is a bad idea.

Lets see... I traded away Lebron(77 TSNP) and Love(52.5 TSNP) for Howard (40 TSNP) and Wade (33 TSNP)... TWO trades nets me MINUS 56.5 TSNP so far...

That has got to rank right up there with the ALL TIME best blunders!!!

Doing some planning today with LeBron and Brandon Jennings still on my roster and two trades left. Instead of moving Jennings to a lesser guard at the same price (I have little banked $), I'm leaning toward holding both until 1/5 when I'll trade LeBron for Arenas, which would give me $8.36 for a G/F/C (Randolph, Monta, M. Gasol, or gerald Wallace most likely).

Thoughts on this? The alternative would be to ditch LeBron for Duncan today and use the extra money for a < $7.26 G -- which doesn't lead to a particularly attractive player IMO.

Would not trade LeBron for Duncan today. On 5th, trade Lebron for Arenas and then Jennings to Gasol as the safe bet or Randolph, Wallace or Ellis as a flier in that order. Good luck!

That's what these forums are for, to exchange ideas and come up with combos we haven't thought of on our own.

Personally, I don't know what the rush to trade LeBron is for. You can have all of my money I've got stored in him. I'm holding until 1/12 when the schedule really hic-cups.

I could have a choice between a guy that averages 30-35/game and another that is blind, deaf and has no legs. The latter would outpoint the first in my case.

The only way a trade of Lebron makes sense is if the guy you buy + the new guy you upgrade to project to outpoint holding Lebron and the other guy you are holding + two trades. Of course Lebron will bleed now and then as people find new options but Lebron is officially relevant again.

As for Jennings, I think his schedule is just about to take off and most still need sub $8 mil guys so trading him just before the Mil schedule goes green seems odd.

I am tapped out on trade plans for the week (1 left) and I am trying to shift from hard $ gaining mode into trade conservation mode a little. Last week was a little scary so I would like to get to point where I would be carrying 4-8 trades in the bank over the next couple weeks.

A safe and happy New Year wish to all of the team and Gurupies

I keep banging my head against the wall trying to figure out a way to have Wade, Paul and Lebron at the same time - not gonna happen. Unless D Wright does something tonight, I may have to do the unthinkable and waste a trade on another sub-mil cheapie. Looked at downgrading Thompson to Blair right now, but I just can't figure it out...

Money, I don't see anyway you can add Paul and keep Lebron, short of trading someone with like Boozer or Duncan, and that doesn't make sense, so I'd just plan on Lebron=> Paul on 1/4. And I wouldn't buy him back form Duncan. Look beyond week to week trading.

I think your stuck with Dorell for the week, unless you want to hold Thompson. So I think I'd move Thompson to maybe Blair ( tonight ), maybe Frye ( after another game ). That gives some cash to move Dorell next week. Who knows, maybe he picks things up. At least he can't lose any money.

Went ahead and moved Thompson to Blair. Lebron to Paul on 1/4 will free up another 1 mil or so giving me 5.7 mil in the bank to get Arenas from Beasley or Deng (whichever sucks more the next few days). LOL I gotta have faith that Wright will get back to the 20 min/game.

The news on Arenas is even worse than I thought. He was in my plans last week until I saw the news on 12-24. my first thought was at least a game suspension because I don't think the league would take something like this lightly. If he really pulled it on a teammate I would now suspect multiple games. On 12/25 I revised my plans to be able skip Arenas if my assumptions were correct and I will pass on him until it is clear the situation has been dealt with.

$4ltr,

Pending the news on Arenas, after you go James to Paul, you may want to look at Gasol as solid option or at a minimum a back-up plan.

Yeah, Arenas. What a moron. I bought Westbrook a bit ago, for the express purpose of turning him into Arenas. Maybe by Tuesday we'll know something. Otherwise it's back to the drawing board. And unless I do something else, I'll need a G.

I suppose I could do worse than just holding Westbrook, his schedule goes a bit after his 1-4 and he's been pretty good of late.

So I probably just jinxed him.

So from the money totals on this page, it looks like we ALL kept K. Love. That Odom move doesn't appear to be the wisest trade ever conceived but it could turn out making those managers smell like roses if Gasol misses a chunk o' time. I do think the smart move is to hold for Love's 4-3-early 3. We'll see how this works out...

Went Lebron to Paul and have 5.59 mil in the bank.

Have to decide what to do this week with Wright and Deng. Probably pickup Love and Haywood. Not gonna touch Arenas (he might pull a gun on me). I'd like to get Lebron back, but I don't think I'd move Duncan to do it.

Three of us have Pau, he's now listed as doubtfull. Any plans?

I'm aborting my idea of moving Westbrook to Arenas. I have to figure he's in line for a suspension of some sort, or worse.

Westbrook been pretty spectacular and is holdable, but I'm thinking of moving him to Nash after tonight. It picks up a game early and Nash's schedule goes into a 4 and then 5 game week. Should be good for points and $.

Which has me thinking.. most all will have Wade/Paul as two guards. I think Nash will be popular. And soon Kobe and Tyreke become options. I guess you can throw Jennings into the mix, but I'm skipping, he just hasn't been as good as early on.

Going to hard to squeeze everyone in..

That coming off the bench yesterday leads me to think he is less
than 100% and that has me thinking he will be LESS productive
during 4 games in 5 days.

I am not sure what to think about D West.
Theree seem to be a lot of other options.

The Duncan off the bench decision may be a blessing to his owners if Pops is doing that instead of random DNP's. I would imagine owners would rather have him come off the bench once every few weeks than take a 0 from a DNP.

G,
Bought Duncan on 12/3 for $8.39M.... sold today for $8.9M... He has performed very well.... West plays 16 games in 27 nights... Averaging modest numbers that are BELOW last years averages... Im a 'homer' and he played for Xavier... OPTIMISTICALLY hoping for 35 TSNP per night (which is what is is averaging lately).... Got me a NICE 43 TSNP tonight.... Time will tell... Every once in a while I make a good move... I hope West does as well for me as Duncan did.

I'm interested in everyone's opinions of not only Gilbert Arenas's situation but also that of the Wizards, generally.

I think people are reflexively deciding to stay away from Gilbert and that might not be necessary. Given the potential severity of the punishment that could await Arenas (jail, indefinite suspension, loss of $100 million), I wouldn't be surprised if it is sometime before action is taken (read: 10 days to two weeks). That's just a guess, but my gut says that they allow the investigation to proceed until complete and then take action, rather than preemptively suspending him. Thus, I think GA could make a risky, but potentially productive differentiation play. One concern is that he'll be distracted and that his play will suffer. Then again, maybe the court will become the one place he can get away from this mess he's created and he'll play up to par. Like I said: big risk/potentially big reward.

The other side of the coin is what happens if Arenas is suddenly removed from the scene in D.C. Who does this benefit most as they head into a 28 day period in which they are set to play 16 times(!)? Wouldn't Randy Foye be the obvious replacement at starting PG? Would they dare give Earl B more than 30 minutes a game? And don't both Caron Butler and Antawn Jamison stand to benefit greatly if Gilbert isn't around to shoot up all their balls?

I would love some clarity on what is going to happen there prior to tip tonight -- though I doubt we'll get it.

Took Lebron, Duncan and Love to the face last night (and NONE of them play tonight, ouch). Getting Nash from Noah tonight (might be the only person making that trade but its my way in). Planning on doing Lebron for a B2B of D. Howard next Tues and then going right back in on the following Thurs. He's been averaging 55ish in the last two weeks. Don't really wanna have him off my roster at any point. Boozer will go on Sunday for someone...

Not sure what I'm doing yet (5.59 in the bank). Haywood was in my plans, but he's a question mark now. Love? CDR? Odom looked awesome last night, but who knows when Pau will be back.

Jennings - hold
L Williams - time to go
Paul & Wade - holds
Beasley - hold?
Wright (G/F) - hate trading players the night they play, but he's an obvious trade.
Boozer (F/C) -hold thru weekend?
Deng (G/F) - not sure what to do
Duncan & Blair (both F/C's) - holds

Money, I might consider:
1) Williams/Deng=> Nash/Frye. Solid 3 week holds
2) Stay put then until Boozer goes, then package Boozer and Dorell for G. Wallace and ? or
3) package Boozer and Beasley for Wallace and either Kaman or Camby

or you could get Tyreke early from Louis, and just hold Deng until Boozer goes and decide what to do with eveyone then. Actually I think you can afford Nash and hold Deng
