0 Subject: The Real Hillary Clinton

Posted by: Baldwin
- [39358714] Mon, Apr 07, 2008, 17:22

While it may seem too late for this, perhaps liberals can see the real Hillary now that their party interests are no longer tied to her so much. Defenders like the MSM and Dem insiders formerly too afraid of her to cross her no longer man the baracades for her.

You would laugh, for that very reason, Boxman.

Won't happen, of course. In the end, Obama needs only a little of their support, and whiny middle aged Democratic women won't effect things too much in the end because they can't bring themselves to vote for a pro-lifer.

Obama needs to get his Democratic support up only a little bit and he's gold. As noted at the end of the Amber piece: Obama's campaign has polling data suggesting that an unusually large number of pro-choice Democrats don't know that McCain is pro-life.

As part of an effort to knock down McCain's "maverick" label, his pro-life stance will be prominent.

I just need to find some kind of windowless room to stay in for the next 3 months. To me all of this just seems like a waste of time, I know who i'm going to pick, I don't need to listen to all the jabs.

What IS your fixation with the Clintons Boldwin? Hasn't been one in the WH in 8 years; hasn't been the potential of one in the WH in almost as many months; yet you persist in your efforts to introduce them into every possible discussion.

Worst criminals in the WH ever twenty times over.

Factually incorrect. That dubious honor belongs firmly in the hands of the WH current resident.

After them America will yawn at any criminal activity revealed in the WH.

The current resident has taken the teeth out of LE and ut it into the hands of the Administration. The poeple have no power anymore.

Future first criminals are memorizing passages in the book they wrote on how to run a multifaceted criminal operation from the WH press room in plain sight without serious repercussions..

You are of course, referencing the handbook written by shrubbery, re dismissing DAs who disagree with you politically and appointing a lapdog as AG.

glad to see you've finally started smoking weed on a regular basis, because you must be high as a kite to actually believe that nonsense.

ANYTHING the Clintons could possibly have done pales in comparison to the lies and deceit and constitutional trampling the Bush administration has perpetuated on the American population, in a rush to murder thousands of americans in the name of defending this country.

Stuff the Clintons stuffed into programs like goals2000 will be working their insidious destruction right up till america is gone. You don't have to look any further to find your enemy of the consitution. They actually seriously discussed eliminating free speech on the internet and they actually accomplished the elimination of free speech during certain periods of the election cycle [with McCain's help I might add].

At first, watching Hillary dodging questions about Palin, I thot that she was the smartest one out there campaigning and the only one who realized how counter-productive allowing their side to be sidetracked into a conversation about VP's was. Now I read from her camp that Obama is the one holding her back.
And they got a decent bounce. And then you see the reaction from the Obama people saying, ‘We’re not going to be bullied, we’re not going to let our record be misconstrued.’ The second you start hearing that kind of rhetoric, you are being bullied and your record is being misconstrued.”

The problem, the former Clinton aide said, is that “they don’t have any attack dogs.”

“To address Palin, you need a prominent tough woman,” said another former aide. “I can’t think of any others who really work and who could really zing her with a smile on her face and look really good doing it.”

There is a lotta low key speculation that Hillary could still replace Biden, because it makes tactical sense to counter Palin and Biden has already stated he thot she was the better choice.

But for that RFK comment and all the fear the Clinton's have engendered.

The zeitgeist (Baldy's new favorite word) that Fox News so desperately tries to foist upon America is what makes that video sad. It's no wonder people who watch that crap all day are getting so ugly as they realize that they are going to lose the presidency.

What a bunch of dumb asses. If after 50 years of cold war we can't get this right then we might as well call it a day.

U.S. seeks to 'reset' relations with Russia

"I would like to present you with a little gift that represents what President Obama and Vice President Biden and I have been saying and that is: 'We want to reset our relationship and so we will do it together.'"

Clinton, laughing, added, "We worked hard to get the right Russian word. Do you think we got it?" she asked Lavrov.

"You got it wrong," Lavrov said." Both diplomats laughed. "It should be "perezagruzka" (the Russian word for reset,) Lavrov said. "This says 'peregruzka,' which means 'overcharged.'"

I'm curious as to what you mean by getting it right.

Is it simply that Clinton screwed up a translation, or do you see a deeper problem with a rejuvenation of detente?

I'm also curious as to what constitutes calling it a day.

Yeah it's probably an overreaction but don't you see the embarassment and stupidity behind what happened?

It's just that we spent 1/2 a century planning for war against these people. Billions and billions later we still don't the Russian language.

embarassment and stupidity

It was an insignificant gaffe that both sides apparently took advantage of as an opportunity for as a bit of lighthearted publicity. The laugh they shared was probably one of the friendliest public moments in Russian-American relations in recent memory.

We're still waiting to hear about this damage you're accusing people of rushing to mitigate.

For a better example of an international PR incident that requires some mitigating, Obama's perceived slight of Gordon Brown last week has surely required some degree of damage control, both in the American and British press and also on the diplomatic level, as well, I'm sure.

But your clinging to this utterly pointless incident (which even the rightist media isn't talking about any more) as some kind notorious offense and citing the left as being in helpless denial of it hardly puts you in any position to offer credibility advise to anyone.

The fact that we look like dousche bags because our State Department doesn't know Russian after 50 years of almost going to war.

Eloquently expressed as usual.

Translators make errors all the time. I highly doubt such minor language mistakes ever result in significant political damage to either side.

If you mean to argue that the State Department takes a credibility hit of one kind or another that will somehow result in a position of lesser strength to negotiate from or some other significant compromise of the Department's ability to carry out it's responsibilities, then let's hear it. Otherwise, "looking like douch bags does not constitute "damage". If it did, the United States Department of State would have spent the entirety of the first 8 years of this decade in a full-on diplomatic crisis with almost every recognized nation on the planet.

Win A Date With Tad Hamilton...Um....I Mean Bill Clinton

Hillary Clinton is so eager to pay off her campaign debt, she's resorted to selling her husband -- for a day, anyway.

The secretary of state's long-gone presidential campaign still is trying to pay off a steep debt and has launched a new fundraising pitch urging donors to give money and compete for the chance to win one of three "exclusive prizes."

The most exclusive prize? A day of "adventure" in the Big Apple with former President Bill Clinton.

"A truly once in a lifetime chance: you and a guest will spend a day with President Clinton and a weekend of fun filled adventure in New York," the online promo says.
