I'm going to need a current and active email address for you. You're the only one not signed into the Yahoo league yet, and as I get the OTC draft page together I'll want to know that you're getting updates and so forth.

PD try the one attached to my name, he responded to me using this once, although he hasn't responded to the last couple that I sent.

i'm not singling Baldwin out because of our history, but an owner of an online-fantasy baseball team oughta have his own email address.

I moved and just didn't figure out how to re-establish the e-mail account so I'm using my wifes. [they wouldn't let me use my old name and I forgot the new name I picked...lame, I know]

Crowbaring her off her business computer isn't something I manage several times a day. I am aware of Nerve's recent message but it's very frustrating. I am not quite willing to offer as much as he is asking and hate the horsetrading to get the deal where I need it to be. Wife is asleep so I'll check messageds.

Baldwin: I need to be blunt because this is the time to do so. If you can't commit to your own checkable email address it will be very difficult to do this draft, and will put others in a tough position as well.

I realize that if you are down to one computer you are in a tough spot yourself, but now is the time to try to mitigate that, at least for the duration of the two drafts.

Nobody, in this day and age, should have trouble getting a hundred new email addresses in 10 minutes.

Just open a new gmail account, and change your profile on yahoo, Baldwin. This isn't rocket science.

Hey, if Baldwin is going to be disingenuous about his name, in short, lie, but do so in order to keep evil people at bay, he really ought to use...

I'm a luddite or hadn't you heard? Lol!

My wife on the otherhand is playing with the newest thing in twitter...some console that tracks keywords out there.

Someone twitters...So I'm in my office saying, "Oh Grace, this is working (stainstick), Oh wow, Oh man, Oh God." and my coworker says, "Shall I close your door?"

Lol

Baldwin

I can't say enough about Gmail. It takes 5 minutes to sign up and in my opinion it's the best out there for it's searching for old emails alone.

Get your horse trading pants on and let's talk.

FWIW Baldwin, that's why talks between Teixeira came to a halt. if going back and forth means an email every 5 days, i don't have any interest. it's not fun.

Nerve and I have been emailing several times a day, for those whose panties are in a twist about my lack of e-mail.

This has more to do with my extreme distaste for e-mail in general than it does with the difficulty of walking 7 steps to my wife's computer.

I've gone many many a month without checking my e-mail once.

I'd rather read and learn than chit-chat.

So is that why you've refused to signup on Yahoo so far?

Your distaste for those of us who take reachability seriously puts your standing in this league in doubt.

Sign up for the league now. And make sure that you are available, through some email address, continuously through the drafting times. Anything less calls into question your commitment to the league. And crowing about how unreachable your are through email doesn't help.

You'd think everyone had suddenly developed amnesia and forgotten who has successfully expedited every poliboard league ever.

You've always been one of the best in the league at helping move the draft along, sometimes to the point of addiction, absurdity, robot like dedication. Now you say you hardly ever look at your email. (Believe me until 2 days ago I already figured that out)

So which Baldwin will it be, the Pavlovian dog dutifully moving the draft along like an relentless cog in the machine? Or the more recent version sitting by Walden Pond watching the world go by and wondering what those little whistling whispers in the trees are calling "your pick"?

I have never ever ever been hanging on my inbox except when a draft was in progress.

I'll be available and on time same as it ever was. I haven't changed.

The last guy you need to worry about to be in the league and hanging on every pick is me.

Constant attempts to break free from the poliboard addiction are completely seperate from my dedication to the league.

so you hate email. you're not the first person with such disdain, nor will you be the last.

no one is really questioning your dedication to the league from a draft point of view, but lord knows take going back and forth for a week or more on trade talks or whatever, is beyond frustrating.

i know when i want to make a trade, it's often "in the moment", and things can change so fast, that 2 days later, i'm no longer interested.

no one is commanding you to join the 21st century and communicate with the world, via email.

but it would help everyone in this league greatly, if you would at least set something up for your fantasy sports communications.

in about two seconds, i checked to see if Baldwinfantasysports at gmail dot com was available, and it is.

so why not do that?

Just the thought of offering Baldwin a trade offer makes me laugh. This guy is so risk adverse that I'm still a little surprised he has allowed electricity wired to his house. I think Baldy has made one trade in the eight seasons of Poli Baseball. Thing is, it was such a killer trade, he swapped Scott Rolen for Al Soriano during the draft, that you would think he would want to do it again. No, Baldwin is convinced that this is a dynasty league and treats it as such - he's created a dynasty in his mind and no one is going to touch his precious.

As for e-mail, haven't you realized that Baldwin is TERRIFIED of computer viruses? I mean, since about 2001 all of us have installed virus scanning software that have prevented anything terrible from happening to us, but we're all suckers risking our computers with our misplaced trust - don't you know that these virus protectors are in league with those virus clowns?!?!?! It only takes one little virus to seriously slow his 8086 processor.

Since Radio Shack stopped offering support on the TRS 80 sometime in the second Reagan term, Baldwin might have some justification--anything that happens will be on his dime.

I should point out that Nerve and I were communicating every couple hours and I offered him my 1,2,3 for three of his players that he himself said he was willing to trade, so talk of me not willing to shake things up are not entirely accurate.

Expecting me to give up pick #4 for a $22 outfielder just doesn't work tho. Whatchagonnado? Then he uses my interest in Nathan to extort PD. Nice for Nerve.

or some such malarkey that is preventing Baldwin from joining the 20th century and getting an email address.

When did it get to be an emergency to get signed into Yahoo a month before the draft will be completed? And when did trade talks have to include Baldwin (he who neve trades) It's not like Baldwin just joined the league this year.

Asking Baldwin to sign up for Yahoo isn't an "emergency." It is only his unexplained reticence in doing so that has dragged this out.

1,2,3 for three of his players that he himself said he was willing to trade, so talk of me not willing to shake things up are not entirely accurate.

Let's not miss characterize it though. I was willing to trade 1 or 2 of the 3... you wanted all three.

I have to keep 7 players you know.

When I tried to narrow it down to 2 of the players you mysteriously became uninterested.

I have a list of players I put out that I would be willing to trade for a draft pick. I offer all of them because they are fairly equal. I still am keeping a couple of them though.

From that list I still have at least one I would like to trade for a draft pick.
