Subject: School district suspends 4-year-old for his hair

It's becoming a brewing story here.
The Mesquite ISD suspended a kindergarten student for his long hair at the tail end of last year, and the suspension has continued.
I'm shocked that a school district is refusing to teach a child because of the length of his hair. it's 2010. Even in Texas. |

and a 12 year old, arrested for doodling...
Alexa's hands were cuffed behind her back, and tears gushed as she was escorted from school in front of teachers and -- the worst audience of all for a preadolescent girl -- her classmates.

Gotta love the last line in the CNN article that Tree linked to in #2.
"There is zero intelligence when you start applying zero tolerance across the board," he said. "Stupid and ridiculous things start happening."
