Anyone from Denver, or know much about getting around there? I'm going to a conference tomorrow, and from what I'm seeing the cheapest way to get from the airport to downtown is take the Sky Ride (AF) bus from the terminal.
This gets me close to my destination (Ramada Inn Midtown) but still too far to walk.
Should I take the bus to a place like the Denver Bus Center and just count on grabbing a cab the last mile or so? I understand cabbing it from the airport can be pretty costly.
Thanks for any advice. I haven't been to Denver in years, and the last time I did my company paid for it all so I took cabs everywhere. Nowadays, *I'm* the company.

NP, thanks. I think I can get very close to the hotel, in any case. My wife suggested that I just try to catch a shuttle bus for another downtown hotel, and catch a cab in front of that other hotel to mine as soon as the shuttle bus goes around the corner.
A devious mind, she's got...

I ended up taking a shuttle for the door to door service. $28 (plus tip) round trip. Unfortunately I appear to have chosen a sucky one (Big Sky Shuttle). I waited 45 minutes for the thing at the airport on Tuesday (plane landed @ 7:45 pm), then coming back it took 10 calls to get through to them for a return reservation.
Downtown on the bus route would make the bus, by far, best. It appears to run often (every ten-fifteen minutes or so) and is the cheapest. Door to door off the bus route by any large amount any shuttle but Big Sky Shuttle should work.
