I just heard from Taxman [e-mail] who was surprised to not find Poliboard listed in Rotoguru but who is still interested in competing with us.
How soon should we get serious about getting another year in gear? |

Is the league up and running?
I think we would have a better idea of who is coming back if we sent a league invite to get everyone back and setup. Then can work on draft dates etc. I don't mind paying for the draftime again, if that is the route we want to go.

I've got a total of 1...one...phone contact number. I've expedited these things by phone even when we had drafttime for years and it works great when i have enuff contact numbers.
I'm not desperate. We always gain momentum and remember how to operate the queue system.
But it's galling to think how much better this could be running with phone calls.

If Punk isn't back by his next pick I think we need to group-pick his previous missed pick if not his current pick also.
Since he's short WR, I suggest we give him the best WR [non-injured] available on the ESPN rankings.

Nice recovery, Punk. I really wanted those guys if I could have only figure out a way to make them my WR4 and WR5.
Note to the two buys ahead of me. By the time it gets down to two picks ahead of mine I generally have my 3-man Q solidified in my mind and it's on set-and-forget at that point. So if you also are on set-and-forget but instead of autopick you left your finalized Q but you left me as designated picker...we'll still form a bottleneck even tho we both have perfectly solid Queues.
I'm an eager beaver here, and watch it around the clock but by the time the line gets down to the last three I'm exhausted.

Chris has been phoned and message left in box. Normally I still feel kinda iffy when it only goes to voicemail but It seemed to work out OK last time. He was relatively prompt somehow.

queues negate one aspect of draft strategy for some people. i alter my strategy on the fly, often.
as for phone numbers, yea, no.

The site has pick based queues to allow for altering your strategy on the fly. There was also a delay in case you needed a last minute tweak.

i don't need you to BUY my "excuse". nor, do i give a $hit whether you do or not. it's how i've always drafted, and pick based queues don't allow to adjust for what is going on in front of you, because you're setting them in advance.
