nicely done fellas on figuring out how to mess with the program. that sounds sort of sneaky. I like it, but it should be fixed, and people should not be allowed to take advantage of that loophole, imho.

The commish did fix it last night. After he found out exactly how it was done, he closed it.

Ok so what do you want me to do about law? I will keep him up and pay out the 20+ mil i signed him for. If i didnt have the money I wouldnt have made this move. Now I love how brock wants him to go back to Atlanta because "Its the right thing to do". Atlanta made the mistake of not adding him to his 40 man so he lost out, now if i had made the same mistake or brock signed him, I guarentee brock wouldnt be having this change of heart. Need i remind you about when Sachin and I said Worm made a trade in F3 with someone and that when the person wanted to trade back P2 decided that Worm got the best of him and its his own dumb mistake.

Buchster's mistake was a game mistake. You shouldn't even be allowed to bring anybody up until the WS is over. Worm's was a stupid move by the owner he was trading with. Has anybody heard from Buchster about this? If it happened to you SanFran I would say screw you. This hurts Buchster a lot more than it would you. Anything bad that happens to SanFran in GSB is a good thing.

Believe me I noticed the mistake the day it happened, I just haven't had time to post here about it. I about had a heart attack when I signed on and saw that he was missing from my team. It pisses me off that there is a glitch that allows this to happen, but I'm not going to whine to the commish about changing it back. %&*$ GSB.

Granted, I'm not running the most powerful computer in the world, and AOL isn't the best either, but is anyone else having major problems with the GSB site since the new chat feature went up? I'm talking at least 2 minutes for each page to load, an inability to access the pull down menus, etc.

I hope it's only a one day thing-I can't even read mail without the site freaking out. If it keeps up I might have to bail.

Vic - I have had problems with GSB using AOL also, but the problems go away when I'm not on AOL. I figured it was just my crappy connection but maybe for some reason the changes to GSB cause problems for AOL users. If you have another way of getting online you should try it. Has anyone else noticed this? I wonder if we should notify the commish about it. Damn AOL.

Well, I've been unable to access the site all night, which means I haven't been able to scout the Northern Leagues, which of course means that I'll be outbid for anyone worthwhile, which means that the Commish is a jagoff. Or maybe it's the internet's fault? Yeah, that's it, I blame the internet, which by proxy means I blame the internet's creators, which brings me to my only logical conclusion...

Al Gore owes me five dollars.

The site is still down. I haven't made my NL bids yet either. Has anyone emailed the commish? I would be in favor of asking him to delay NL signings for a day - assuming the site ever works again.

I know I don't post here often, but I just wanted to express my frustration at not getting a chance to bid on NLers. I tried to log on ALL DAY with no luck. The commish should have pstponed the NL bidding if he couldn't keep the site up. This would be ok if it were still a free game, but this really annoyed me. If anyone wants to sell any NLers they just drafter, let me know. I'm Montreal just in case you guys didn't remember.

Unless you were going to bid $15-25 million per player, most of the stud NLers went to LA anyway. I picked up most of the quality old guys as usual. I see TB wormed Barrett from me. To think last season he was criticizing me for taking all the old NLers. Looks like he wants to get in on the action now.

LA spent a ton on NLers, but some guys got some incredible deals. There were several players I had planned to bid a few million on and they went for 100,000 or less. I guess the only thing we can be happy about is that it was mostly the cellar dwellers who signed anybody.

I'm thinking of the guys Baltimore and Cincinnati signed. Baltimore got 2 4-4 guys, Cincinnati got a couple of nice pitching prospects. He got Tom Lum for 5K!

I see your point BPG. I'm just pissed that I didn't bid on more guys. I only bid on guys over 25 because everybody else goes for too much. I could have got all the guys that Cincy got if I wouldn't have done that. I was in a pleasant mood before, now I'm kind of pissed. Thanks for ruining my day.

Well Brock, you did better than I did! You got some pretty nice bargains there yourself. I have been kicking myself because I actually did all my NL scouting, but got bored and decided to wait to place my bids until after week 1.

I go in on day one and print out the scout options and then sit down and determine what I want to bid for each before making my bids before day two sims. Rather then print one of my pitching scout options, I made that one bid and then reduced the age by a year and printed it.

I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I saved lots of money and mostly the teams that needed players, got them.

I think the guy I got is 26 Brock. I did some math and they can develop before 30. He will probably turn 30 before he completes in each category, but it was a gamble. Just wish I only bid 100K on him, lol.

Those 27 year olds have less then 66 sims to develop depending on when their bday is. Even if we took a 26 year old with a week 16 bday he has 80 sims to develop after week two has simmed. If he averages 4 points per sim for the next 80 sims that is only a 320 point gain. If the older guys don't have higher starting ratings I probably wouldn't bid them.

I am done with SW too. I might try a football team again this year, but usually I don't have the patience to try and make trades. It is pathetically slow for me.

I played Swirve Football last year and enjoyed that. I also tried a sandbox league and that was fun.

BTW, I was messing with Timing about making a trade, but I bet he was already trying to imagine who I got.

Oops, that should've read "I hope this ISN'T indicative"..... time for bed Rogue. ;) I hope its up in the morning.

FWIW, SW Hockey usually seems to run fine. Maybe its because they don't get as many players. Baseball seems to be the most popular, so maybe they're just overloaded.

Now I can't get in either. Commish better figure this server thing out quick, or he may lose a lot of business!

Rogue - it is not usually this bad, but the last two days have been really awful.

Who else bid on Jim Comstock? (RP, 25 years old, 4-3-4 stars, 470 FB) I upped my bid at the last minute today and ended up getting him. I was probably just outbidding myself.

I have a couple questions.

At what stamina # can I use a guy as SP instead of a reliever?

And what is health for? Will it ever change?

I wish I had printed out my roster before the site went down...
104Big Poo Generator

You can put any pitcher in as a starter, but low stamina guys will not pitch as long. Usually 300 stamina is considered the cutoff for starters, but a guy with 250 stamina will pitch 5-6 innings if he's effective. 350 stamina guys will go 6-8 innings; 400+ stamina guys can sometimes pitch complete games.

Health never changes. It is supposed to help determine the likelihood that a player gets injured, but it's debatable whether it actually does anything at all. I mostly ignore the health rating.
