Just trying to remember how we handled off-hours bids last year.
I think (and if this isn't how we did it, we should have) we should allow them, and effectively have the clock on them start when the clock restarts the following morning (or after the weekend).

we did allow them and thats how we did it. I assume we will do the same this year once it starts.

Yes we will allow off hour bids now that the draft has started. I just wanted to give everyone a chance to see who the first 12 were before bidding started.

I still can't get over the fact that I got Adrian Peterson (the good one) for $14 last year. That has to be the steal of the century. Yet I still couldn't beat wiggs and Randy Moss (Mr. $19).
If you are curious WK, Scarecrow beat wiggs in the championship, and Golf Freak and I were the 3rd and 4th place teams, in the playoffs.

Last year's discussion is also amusing (especially the post-draft recaps).
Randy Moss $19? Overpriced, I say!

When adding a new player can you please add "NEW PLAYER" and bold it for ease of the moderator and fellow bidders. If you are unsure on how to bold add TEXT but replace the "[" with "<". Thanks guys. So far the draft has run pretty smooth. No fines have had to be levied! :)

Wiggs, a thank you is in order. I did not think of the Players Won thread, and you did. Thank you for remembering that.
As you win a player your cash left and players left will be included in the announcement of a won bid. It will also be placed in the Auction draft players taken and $ remaining Thread. Also in that thread each Friday when the clock shuts off for the weekend I'll post the players won and the amounts remaining in a spreadsheet form. If you use IE you can simply copy and paste it into Excel. The copy/paste function in Firefox doesn't work. I don't about any other browsers.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem GF. If you win the 2 outstanding bids you have, it shouldn't be a problem to have the board lite 2 for an hour or 2.

Sorry for the delays that are taking place, we're reconfiguring offices here, so I'm getting caught in that. I'll be leaving in about 5 minutes and wiggs will hopefully post if/when Fitzgerald goes off the board. I'll be back around 7 pm EST and be able to resume everything as regularly scheduled.

Once Sarge and WK post new players I'll post an update. We have a lot of players scheduled to come off the board, so if you have a player on the board, stick around. Odds are we'll need you to add a player to the board.

Full Explanation of the illegal bid:
Youngroman has currently won: Donovan McNabb $20 Reggie Bush $21 He has $159 left for 13 players
He bid: Steven Jackson $58 Carson Palmer $16 Dallas Clark $8 Frank Gore $49 Willis McGahee $33 For a total of $164, thus leaving him with -$3 for 8 players.
McGahee was the last one on his list and constitutes his most recent bid.
I'm sorry to do that to you YR, but you've been fined $5 for an illegal bid.

damn! I forgot that I had an open bid on S-Jax. $5 is not that much. the last 3 years I ended the draft with $41, $32 and $18 left. I am planning something similiar this year. its early enough in the draft to fix those $5 if I want to save them for the regular season.

I dont think we should have to wait 24 hours for this, The trade isnt shady in anyway, and it will really affect our bids if we dont push it through,

I'd suggest that in the interest of expedience, those of us with no objection should so state right now...would be the fairest way to do it. But I think just letting it go is a poor precedent.
Just clarifying, basically, this is a straight "give Jackhammers Palmer and his salary" trade, right? It's not transfer the player and salary and an additional $18, right?
Assuming I understand it correctly, consider this an explicit non-verto fo the trade.

46 | wiggs Sustainer

not, just straight like he won him and not me.
Basically because the chart was screwy i think this one should go through quicker because I didnt think i had palmer and bid up another guy, and he thought he had palmer and didnt rebid on him,.

I understand the trade isn't shady, but there should be an waiting period for all trades don't you think?
If there is a majority that say push it through immediately I'll do that, but I really think that the league should have a chance to have it's say with all trades. And really it'll only affect 12 hours of your draft. I don't foresee a ton of players coming off the board today.

Wiggs had the initial declaration right, re JH winning the player. It was an erroneous correction, which wasnt caught, that led to wiggs getting the player. One of the downfalls of the system, but one we've delt with in the past.
Does it hold the potential to change/alter the auction process to take the time for the trade? Yes it does. Is it in the rules that the time be taken? Yes it is.
Kyle's call IMHO, as he is commishing. Wiggs as co-commish, and an involved party in the trade, would have to 'recuse' himself from the decision I think.

So if the two parties don't vote we need 5 people's approval to push it through correct? If so we have 4 now correct? Hopefully someone else will wander by shortly. If not, it would be in Kyle's powers to pause the draft. I'm not suggesting it should be done, but it is a possibility.

In case you were wondering here are the stats so far during the draft.
94 players have been sold for a total of $1,790. The average price per player is $19.
There are 86 roster spots remaining and $605 left to be spent. That's means there's an average of $7 per player to be spent. And that's if everyone decides to use all of their money, and make my life really easy by having no Free Agent acquisitions. :)

The prices of the recent players coming off the board are much lees than the earlier players. Prices should continue to decline as team have most of their rosters set and only need to fill in some bench slots. Less competition in bidding will mean lower prices.

I'm really pleased with the progress we've made so far. Only 53 players to go with $360 remaining. I would like to try to get this done this week, which seems very possible, especially if we keep the pace we've been going. I'm going to try to call players as close to their time being sold (as best as I can, I am usually in my car from 8-9:30am and 5:30-7pm driving to and from work, so those times are tough) so if you have a player that's going to be sold and you know you won't be around to name that player to the board I'm sure there's some guys here who can take a "queue" of players to be named. I start classes next week so my times of availability will change, but I should still be able call out winning bids. They might be via my phone though so I won't be able to give $$ or players remaining to easily. If we can get this finished this week then we won't have to worry about that mess :) But overall I'm extremely happy how smoothly this has seemed to go. Only one illegal bid has made it nice too. Let's keep up the good work!

I'm going to stop the clock at 5:30 EST if the board is light by 3 at that point. It will restart as soon as there are 10 players back on the board. At 5:30 EST there stands to be the possibility of the board being light by 10 players, but I really hope that isn't the case.

Definitely.
Would really really prefer that we have some sort of auto-stop if we get light by 4 or more for more than a short period of time. It takes much of the strategy out of the endgame if we don't.

I agree. I figure giving the 2 guys who didn't win players 2 hours to see they owe is a respectable amount of time.
Just a heads up to players. If you have a low amount of players won (anything under 10) you might want to pay attention when a player who is close to completing his roster because you may be up to name a player. I would like to avoid what we are currently experiencing on the board.

Alright guys we're doing an awesome job still. We only have 22 players remaining. We have 5 complete teams (wolfer, Slowhand, weykool, Scarecrow71, and sarge33rd) and probably have at least 3 teams complete after tomorrow. My goal of finishing this week is looking good. If we do finish this week then I'll get the rosters loaded into AOL this weekend. If we don't finish until Monday or Tuesday I'll have them loaded the day after the draft finishes.
For waivers: we're going to have to do it off the site. I have set up an e-mail address for everyone to send their waiver priorities to. I'll send an e-mail with the instructions and how I'll hand the waivers to the league from that e-mail address. You should all save that e-mail address to your contacts so you can easily access it,unless your wiggs, because you won't have any money left over! ;)

Just a reminder to get your lineups set for this week's set of games. They start on Thursday, so if you have players on in that game you need to get those players in your lineup. Some of you haven't checked into FleaFlicker since you signed up. Your roster is in and you can set it whenever you want!

Patriots actually release information? Wow. Tom Brady has officially been placed on IR due to his left knee injury (torn ACL and MCL), according to NFL.com Dwetzel you are allowed (after kickoff of the last game tonight) to name an Injury Priority if you would like.

Dwetzel's roster (Fontes of Wisdom) has been edited to show the change, and he must start Cassel for week 2.

Frick, they are and have been bids. That's the way it was set up last year and how the waiver process was run automatically by AOL last year. Sarge, I believed that you couldn't put someone on IR/IP without having to start that player the next week. I didn't think you could put someone in that spot and pick up someone through the bidding/waiver process.

I/R and IP are not the same. V Young is listed as OUT, that is well beyond the DOUBTFUL status we have always used in the past. Placing him on I/R allows for a replacement to be taken and said replacement can be any position and does not have to start the following week. Since this is my backup QB though and Ionlyhave 1 backup QB, I took a different backup QB. (the one who IRL, is backing up my backup). This is nothing new. Its what we have always done/allowed. Its why the max roster, is 1 spot larger than the required roster. That extra slot, can ONLY be used, for a player on our IR.

OK, but for waiver claims and finance purpose is it the same, meaning that adding the player gets priority over waiver claims and costs $5? If not then I'll fix your roster in my spreadsheet, so it reflects Collins as $1.

I always understood it the way Sarge is saying--that 16th spot is for a player that won't play that week, but they don't need to be on IR. (IR in the NFL = out for the year anyway, so that's really pretty pointless to have the slot if that's what was required.)
|
141 | sarge33rd
ID: 99331714 Tue, Sep 23, 2008, 14:07

adding ONLY gets priority, and only costs $5, IF the manager claims Injury Priority. I made no such claim, only moved Young to IR and picked up Collins in my normal sequence. I cant imagine anyone, claiming IP for their backup QB.

Sarge, when trying to process your claim, I noticed that you were dropping the player who was in your injury slot while adding a player. Since you can't add a 16th player without someone occupying the injury slot. You have 2 options: 1. Put a player in the injury slot. You have 2 questionable players and if you have some source that says they'll be out then you can do that. If not then you have option 2: 2. Drop a second player along with Vince Young.
No one else bid on a player that you bid on so I'll continue doing everyone else's claim.

GolfFreak: Add: Buffalo Defense, $1 Drop: Trent Edwards, QB, BUF, $1 ($0 returned) GolfFreak has $6 Remaining
Kyle Add: Tennessee Defense, $2 Drop: David Patton $5 ($2 returned) Kyle has $21 Remaining

ID: 052753312 Wed, Oct 01, 2008, 09:24

I think I sent this out in an e-mail early this year, but I can post it here :) All waiver claims are to be sent in after the kickoff of the previous week's final game and no later than that week's Wednesday at Noon EST. There will be no off season waivers handled so the first waivers can be sent in on Monday September 8th at 10:15 PM EST and must be received by Wednesday, September 10th at Noon EST. This will be handled the same way in weeks that there are Thursday night games (Thursday night games start in Week 10, November 6th). Week 14 will be the final week that waivers will be processed. After that week all rosters are locked. Injury priorities are to be posted on the RotoGuru website, and not e-mailed here. An injury priority is: a player on your roster who is injured and has been ruled unable to play for the following week. There must be a reputable source stating the injured player definitely will not play. There is an extra bench spot left for this injury priority. When claiming an Injury Priority, you are allowed to name a player you would like to replace the injured player with. The player you name MUST be of the same position as the injured player and MUST start the following week. You may keep an injured player in the injured priority spot for as long as you wish. Injured priorities will cost $5 off of your cap. If you do not have the $5 to pay for the injured priority you may not claim an injured priority. Injured priorities must also be posted before Wednesday at Noon EST. They will be processed before the waivers are processed. If a player is claimed by injured priority, all waiver claims for that player are voided. Injured Priorities are based on record. The team with the worst record has the first injury priority. In case of tie, head to head will be the first tie breaker, and then points scored will be the second. If it is still a tie a virtual dice roll will be called upon. We will handle that if the situation arises. I don't see that situation arising, but there will be a system in place if it does. Waivers are handled this way:A player will be award to the highest bidding manager. The bid may not exceed the amount of money leftover after the draft and previous waiver claims. Waiver claims also may not cause the manager to have an illegal roster (i.e. dropping your only Kicker for a Quarterback). Illegal waiver claims will cause the same $5 fine incurred from illegal bids. You may only make one waiver claim per week, but you may send in multiple waiver claims. You should rank you waiver claims in order of importance. Example: Claim #1 Drop: Bo Jackson, RB, OAK Add: Jim Brown, RB, CLE for $4
Claim #2 Drop: Bo Jackson, RB, OAK Add: Earl Campbell, RB, HOU $3
You may send as many claims as you wish, while ranking them. Please send in all waiver claims in the above form. Team Defenses do not need the position or team, but please send in as "Team" Defense (for example, Add: Indianapolis Defense, $3). If you are sending in an Injury Priority all of your waivers are voided as you are only allowed one free agent transaction a week. If making a claim before the kickoff of week 6 you will recoup 50% of the money you spent on the dropped player, rounded down. So if you are dropping Bo Jackson, who you won for $23, you will recoup $11 back to your funds. Even players you claim will have their funds recouped before week 6's kickoff. So if you win Jim Brown in the Example #1 and you want to drop him the following week (being the following week is prior to Week 6's kickoff) you will be able to recoup $2. $1 players will have no funds recouped, as 50% of $1, rounded down, is $0. Each week after the waivers and injury priorities are processed, an e-mail will be sent out to the league listing all of the claims. If there is a secondary claim that is unused and the player being claimed was not claimed by another owner, that claim will not be sent out and will be "mucked" (to use a poker term I believe we're all familiar with). Along with that e-mail will be everyone's roster and money value remaining. Finally, only one person, the commissioner, has access to this e-mail. This e-mail will not be opened until after Wednesday at noon each week, and will only be opened to enter waiver claims into the Fleaflicker site. Do not reply to e-mails sent by this address as they will not be read until the following week. If you believe an e-mail was not received by this address, forward that e-mail to Kyle and any other league member you see fit to send it too. If you have any questions regarding the Waiver claims system, please bring them up in the Rotoguru Discussion thread. If something is needed to be clarified in the rules another e-mail clarifying that rule will be sent out from this address.

When I first saw the Sarge comment I thought it said he had some doubts about adding a Chicago QB. Now that I've had some caffeine I see that there are no questions that he has doubts about the power that is ChicagoQB. Good luck with that monstrosity Sarge.

D Anderson isnt going to remain an option much longer. K Collins is OK as a stand-in, but not a good choice. Orton has Det this week. He's a 1-week wonder while I figure out to do beyond next week. :)

It's close to the end of the first half of the early games, and it's way to early to call any games, but I think this is interesting. All 4 of my WRs have scored a TD, unfortunately only 3 of them count since Jackson's was a KR TD.

until yet, my season is horrible. I may win this week because Bush should be better and Berrian is banged up too. I will be even tied for first in our division with this win.
at least my RIFC team will be 10-0 after this week.

YR, didn't you hear? Reggie Bush came down with Ebola, he can't play.
Don't worry though, Berrian will fumble on an end-around in the first quarter in which he tears his ACL, MCL, JCL, and XZCL.

At least you will know that you need to drop Berrian. Reggie Bush will get something like 8 rushes for 27 yards and 3 receptions for 17 for a total of 44 yards and I will think that he will get better. and then comes week 14 and he finally breaks out to help me get the victory in the toilet bowl.

What really really REALLY sucks is that with average games from Tom Brady, I'd likely be 4-1 after this week. Instead I'm looking at 1-4.
Anyone want Larry Johnson? He's averaged 100 yards the last two weeks!!!

I just woke up. went to the scoreboard at nfl.com. saw that Berrian got 100+yds + 1TD and Bush got nothing, as expected. after clicking on the details I see the real stats: 175 PR-yds, 2 PR-TDs for Bush. I'm pissed! I guess that was my season. 2 games behind a wild card, lost to the division winner by 90.5pts. both playoff hopes look to be gone.

YR, I was 2 games back last year later in the season with AP injured and was still able to make the playoffs. It's still early.
And looking at Bush's non PR stats is pretty ugly, I have him in RIFC AA, so his PR number make up for his other lackluster stats.

I am sorry, I meant to send an e-mail reminding you, but this was the last week you can drop and player and recoup half his salary. If you would like to drop anyone you are still able to and recoup the salary, but you will not be able to pick anyone up until the next waiver claim period. Just wondering how many football leagues you, “everyone” are in? I’m in 3 this year, last year 6. After have 8 in baseball last year went down to 4. I think Im enjoying it more. Even though football is a bit easier with just weekly moves then daily ones in baseball. But still love this league with the chance of getting any player you want.

Jack Hammers, I am assuming you are using your IP and then you are bidding on a player, correct? Just a heads up, I'm going to be IPing Romo (I'll be moving Colston off of IP dropping 2 players and picking 1 up) and I'll be using my $5 option at getting "first dibs". If I'm correct and the order for IP is based on record, with the lower record having priority, then for the QB IP Priority Jackhammers goes first, then Scarecrow, then Kyle.

OK Looking at the IP Claims no one made a claim on the same QB. Kind of surprising, but really easy for me to do.
Jackhammers IP: Jon Kitna Add: D. Anderson, QB, CLE for $5 Jackhammers has $26 remaining
Scarecrow IP: Matt Hasselbeck Add: T. Edwards, QB, Buffalo for $5 Scarecrow has $7 remaining
Kyle: 1. Drop Visanthe Shiancoe and move Colston off of IP
2. IP: Tony Romo Add: G. Ferrotte, QB, Minnesota for $5 Kyle has $12 remaining
That's only the IPs this week... We've also got some waiver claims to do. :)

I almost had one of those fantasy dilemmas of doom:
Against Sarge, I'm up about 15 points, facing Brandon Marshall.
In my Yahoo league, I'm down 12, and my only remaining player is... Brandon Marshall.
Fortunately, my opponent there has Jay Cutler, so I'm free to root against Marshall.
I wouldn't worry though Sarge--the confluence of the longest OT field goal in NFL history against my waiver-wire defense, plus my own kicker missing the game, no doubt means that Brandon's good for exactly 100 yards and a TD.

Boy has this year been disappointing so far. I was really happy with my team right after the draft but all 4 of my big money guys (LT, Ryan Grant;Wayne, and TJ )have started off extremely slow and I really managed my byes poorly. Morris with NE was looking like a steal, but of course I sat him last week and now he's got a bum knee. Hopefully it's not too serious and Grant does seem to be picking up the pace. If all my guys get healthy and playing a bit better maybe I can still make a run.

1. Denver this week and Cleveland's D isn't stopping them. Chalk up a loss but it isn't Brady's fault. 2. Under. Denver's D gives up too many rushing yards. Brady better get used to handing the ball off. 3. Under. 'nuf said 4. Over. Champ Bailey. 5. Under. Champ Bailey.

So YR are you enjoying Mewelde Moore at my expense? I went after Parker with some hesitation thinking his broken leg might cause him some problems. After week 1 when he surpassed last year's TD total I figured he was back. To show how dependent my team's morale is on Willie Parker playing or not: I'm 1-3 in weeks he's out with an injury. In weeks he's playing (or on bye) I'm 5-0... Hopefully he can come back to full health and Romo will be back on the right page for when we go back to our divisional games. I think I'm going to need to go 6-0 against the division to make the playoffs, and even if I do I wouldn't be in the driver's seat if I drop the next 2 games. What a fickle game fantasy football is. And this is why I love her so!

Thank god I got Moore a few weeks ago because I need him badly with Bush and S-Jax out. I am pretty lucky this week because if Parker would be healthy my choice would be between Moore (who was 4 for -2 last week) or Fargas (who was 6 for 23). I am seeing Sarge blowing myself away this week ending my playoff hopes that, from my points of view, were gone 2 weeks ago when I only had a 2-5 record.

Well DWetzel, looks like you are going be in first place after this week. I could still still have it if I had played Desean against one of the best pass defenses instead of Driver against one of the worst... Again, you have to love how fickle football can be. The one good thing about this fantasy football season, I'm in the playoff hunt in all my leagues :) And that's despite having Romo or Hasselbeck in my leagues and at least 1 RB missing at least 3 weeks (Parker, Bush, Addai/Selvin Young). The other common thread on my teams is Roddy White, the major brightspot on my season.

And I just realized (projecting ahead) that a two-way tie in my division (assuming I am in it!) is a good thing for the wild card, but a three-way is a bad thing, since I hold the tiebreaker over, well, everyone outside the division.

Playoffs coming into focus, it seems, with 6 teams left alive for the 4 spots. All three divisions are separated by 1 game, with head to head matchups in Divisions 1 and 2. The leader can clinch their spot with a win.
Division 1 is interesting if YR wins--if Frick and YR have the same result (win/loss) in the final week, it'll come down to total points. Frick leads that by 69 right now but a moderately large win by YR could make things REALLY interesting.
Wooly Mammoths can actually clinch a spot with a win in either of the next two weeks, thanks to my putrid division record. Only way for me to win the division is to be ahead on record (which entails me winning twice while Wooly loses twice).
Division 3 is fun for the same reason as Division 1--if both win (or lose) this week, Week 14 is for all the marbles there and points scored could come into play. GolfFreak leads there by 43 points currently.
Finally, the wild card is remarkably simple: if I finish with the same record as the division 3 second-place team, I'm in by virtue of head to head. If Wooly somehow loses their last two to give me the division title, then Division 3 gets both teams in.
All four playoff teams could be decided after this week... or nothing could be decided. Wacky stuff.

Actually, I lied. Division 1 is wackier than that, as in theory there could be a 3-way tie at 6-8. (Welcome to the RAL Norris division!) his would entail YR beating Frick this week, then both Frick and YR losing in Week 14.
Were Wolfer to be part of that three-way tie, he'd win the division with a 4-2 division record with Frick and YR at 3-3 each. This would involve the above plus wolfer beating wiggs this week.
Wiggs could also get involved by beating wolfer this week. Then, if all else comes to pass, he'd be 6-8 and 3-3 in the division just like Frick and YR. Next tiebreaker is head to head: they'd all be 1-1 against each other. Next tiebreaker is points scored. Currently, Frick is up 33.4 on wiggs and 69 on YR... but this scenario has Frick losing twice and wiggs winning twice, so I'd have to think wiggs would actually be "favored".
Sick.

Well, things are now in quite a bit of focus:
Division 1: Frick clinched division and #3 seed in playoffs.
Division 2: Wooly Mammoths clinches division with win OR Fontes loss. They cannot be the wildcard.
Fontes clinches division with win AND Wooly loss.
Division 3: BrewPack has clinched a playoff berth and wins division with win vs. Thunder. Can still win division even with a loss, would come down to points scored.
Thunder makes playoffs with a win OR a Fontes loss OR a Wooly loss.
Wildcard: If Thunder beats BrewPack, then whoever has the fewest points scored total this season is the wildcard.
If all three of Wooly, Fontes, and Thunder finish 10-4, then Wooly wins division 2 (better division record) and Fontes is the wildcard (beat Thunder head to head).

Well I can't consider my season a success, but it was a pretty good one. 4-1 in divisional games and the highest point total in the division. Still being eliminated from playoff contention for 3 weeks now hurts me a little. But I can play a spoiler, so at least I have that going for me.
Playoff Races:
Division 1 Frick clinched. He can not move up or down in the standings. He will face either the Division 2 or 3 winner, depending on the wildcard team. Everyone else is eliminated from playoff contention. Congrats Frick!
Division 2 Wooly Mammoth (Scarecrow) will clinch the division with a win or with a Fontes of Wisdom (DWetzel) loss. He has a 46 point lead on Fontes, which can easily be overcome. Wooly Mammoth is eliminated from wildcard contention, as Sarge has the tiebreaker on him.
Fontes of Wisdom will clinch the division with a win and a Wooly Mammoth lose or win with a score of 47 less points than Fontes. Fontes can clinch a wildcard birth with a win and a Rolling Thunder (Sarge33rd) loss. (Fontes holds the tie breaker)
Division 3 BrewPackBuckFan (GolfFreak) can clinch the division with a win, or a loss of less than 55 points. He has clinched a playoff spot, so with a loss of more than 55 points will give him the wildcard. If BrewPackBuckFan wins he will be 6-0 against his division.
Rolling Thunder (Sarge) can clinch the division with a win by 55 or more points. The Thunder can clinch the wildcard with a win or a Fontes of Wisdom loss.
If Fontes takes the wildcard then the playoff allignment will be: Frick @ Wolly Mammoth Fontes of Wisdom @ BrewPackBucksFan
If a division 3 team takes the wildcard: Frick @ Div. 3 winner Wildcard winner @ Div. 2 winner
Games that matter this week (i.e. affect playoff teams): Kyle's dummy bids @ Fontes of Wisdom Wooly Mammoth @ Slowhand Rolling Thunder @ BrewPackBucksFan
Last week for roster moves. Remember to get them in before noon tomorrow.

Kyle,
I am pretty sure I'm right and you're wrong re: the3 Div. 2 stuff. ;)
Wooly has a better division record than me, so they would win the division if we have the same record, regardless of points.
Wildcard priority for the relevant teams is:
(BrewPack) Fontes Thunder Wooly
in case of same record--but Wooly would win division first as explained above.
I think it'd be easier if we got the BCS to settle this.

According to the site the tie breakers are: 1. Best head-to-head record 2. Best division record (same division only) 3. Most average points/game 4. Hardest schedule (record) 5. Hardest schedule (points)
The 4th tie breaker would be the same for same divisional teams. I guess divisional record is the second tiebreaker for you guys which means you need a loss from him to take the division. Why can't I be in the middle of this? I could finish 5-1 in the division which would hurdle me way ahead of you you 2... :(

Looks like our playoff teams are set (barring any score corrections). Things came down to the Sunday night game, where Jason Campbell's bad performance was trumped by Clinton Portis' terrible performance.
Division 1: Frickin' Idiots Division 2: Fontes of Wisdom Division 3: BrewPackBuckFan (on points scored tiebreaker) Wildcard: Rolling Thunder
Special condolences to Wooly Mammoths, who at 9-5 deserved a bit better than to miss the playoffs, especially after such a close loss in the last week. Sorry, Matt.
Apparently RGAL doesn't have the baseball "can't play the wildcard team from your own division first" rule, so your playoff matchups are:
BrewPackBuckFan vs. Rolling Thunder (line: BPBF -4)
Fontes of Wisdom vs. Frickin' Idiots (line: Fontes -1)

Sorry guys, I had some family emergencies this weekend, and now it's right in the middle of finals week for me. Everything's alright now, but I was in the hospital on different occasions for relatives. GF and Dwetzel had waiver moves, but the moves wouldn't have affected the outcome of either game. If you want I can go back and change the lineups to get 100% accuracy in the points total, but as it would have 0 affect in the playoffs. The playoffs are set, and no roster moves will be allowed. So out of curiousity how many people are up for this again? I may be able to commish if I can get some assisting. I don't know how this would affect a draft, but I'm away from the 27th to the 30th.
Also I don't know what everyone's opinion on this was, but Fleaflicker wasn't exactly the ideal site as a commish. If we do this again would you all be willing to move over to ESPN? If I don't hear back from people, I'll consider this a dead league which sucks, and it doesn't. (it's a lot of work for a commish but a lot of fun to be a part of.)

Kyle...I'd love to play again this year; I don't mind moving the site; perhaps we should start a new thread for this though. Thanks.

I'd certainly be back, but absolutely NO time for commish duties.
If the commish wants to move the host site; thats their call. I'll follow along behind. :)

People who are in (if we have a league) 1. Kyle 2. Slowhand 3. sarge33rd 4. wiggs 5. GolfFreak
So we'd need 7 more, let me see if I can find the e-mails of the entire league, if we can fill this by Monday and start drafting, we could get the league done. I'll be out of town this weekend, but I could run the draft (which is really the hardest part of the league).

as fun as this league is with all the auctioning in the preseason, I won't have the time to follow a slow draft here in the forums as closely as I should. with only 2 weeks to go, the draft needs to get done quick. so if we do a live auction draft and the timeframe is possible for me, I am in, otherwise I am out.
