Subject: Is your local post office closing? Posted by: Perm Dude - [154552311] Tue, Aug 04, 2009, 02:17 The USPS is set to lose nearly $7 billion this year (mostly, IMO, because of rules which prevent them from making a profit and therefore doesn't cushion then during economic downtimes). It could well be obsolete. This one is maybe 6 short blocks east of my building and there's another much larger post office about a mile away in the opposite direction.
