Probably time to ask for a head count. I don't remember anyone expressing a desire to leave, it would be nice to not have any turn over for another year.

What say ye? I say, "Here".

Boldwin. If you post the draft results AFTER the draft in a thread with the words "2010 draft" in it, and BUTT it as much as you want. Wouldn't you accomplish your end result of finding easily in future years?

Yes, a bigger league and longer draft would lead to more posts in a discussion thread. That makes sense.

It is much much quicker to retrieve the results from a previous draft by searching rotoguru for the word draft

i'm looking for the draft from 2007 which was only 3 years ago. i can't seem to locate it.

meanwhile, the 2005 Poli-draft is still on Kafenatid.

than it is to look up kafenatid's url again

never mind that you just typed it in, do you not know how to use bookmarks?

figure out what your login specifics are, log in

is it that hard to remember a log in and password, or, even better, have the browser remember it for you?

find the particular league

how many leagues are you using on Kafenatid? and if you ARE doing more than one, how many are called "Polibaseball" or something similar.

you are making something extremely easy seem like climbing Everest.

Only losing 2/3rds of our participation. Awesome.

what do you mean?

I am one of the people who was anti Kafe and now I am all in. I am for Kafe as main source and running a clock. As long as we have ques and turn them on it's the way to go.

I apologize for my incorrect position in the past and am more then happy to admit the error of my ways.

You'd think someone so concerned with the amount of time it takes in finding the URL, figuring out the login, locating the league in a list.... would see the value in not needlessly posting every pick on a completely different additional website. Think of how much extra time that takes the 20 different times we all do it.

Let me clarify that I agree that we should cut and paste the draft results, list the prospects and trades etc in a "2010 Politics Draft" thread so there is an alternative archive. I just think submitting each pick on OTC, and then also coming over here to submit it is overkill.

Geesh, I thought this was some crazy active league - we can't even get everyone to post their keepers and signup for the draft. Maybe they've already accepted the fact they are playing for second place this year now that I've arrived! :)
Actually though, I left my cheat sheets at work, so the longer this drags out (til Monday morning) the better for me.

I did the same thing. Fortunately, I remembered right as I was getting to the car. Double fortunately, I'm off all next week and wouldn't be able to get back in to get them.

Unfortunately, they are all saved in Excel 2007 and the home computer only has Office Works on it. (I did a factory reset to get rid of a virus about a month ago. I get Office Suite free from work, but they had bigger things to worry about in the last month.) So for now I can't access all the fancy drop-down cells I was planning to use until I get back to a Suite computer. For a while last night it was looking like I was going to have to paper-and-pencil it and play fill-in-the-blanks when I got back.

Thanks for the offer, PD. Trying to get a peek at my sheet, eh?

Excel 2007 files will open in Office Works, but only one tab at a time. I have one file that has each position on a tab plus a combined Master tab with all batters. I would have to open each tab individually in Works to use it but it just ain't worth it. I'm just glad I have the master batter list and a couple of other fall-backs with fewer tabs.

I also have a sheet that I downloaded that has drop-down team assignments that calculates "live" standings based on player projections. It was the first one I tried to open, but when I tried Works just laughed at me and said, "Forget it, kid." That when I started looking for a new ink cartidge. It's going to be fun to watch that one as the season progresses.

Yes. I'm hoping to input another round or two of keepers into OTC tomight, then put in all the trades tomorrow. So the draft will actually be open sometime tomorrow afternoon.

I'd imagine nerve will get his pick in before Monday morning our time (he's 11 hours ahead of you, I believe, so it'll probably be Monday where he is, anyway).

If everyone took the 15 seconds to sign up like they were
asked to, we wouldn't be so delayed.

And you can't seriuosly try and argue that a draft just on
here will go as fast. The time saved on kafenatid is
substantial and also makes our own lives easier by not
having to email random people our ques when we might not
be around. Sounds like my dad saying how stupid e-mail is
while looking all over the house for his stamps.

It used to take us an avg of 3 weeks to get 18 post keeper
rounds done in dirty dozen. We knocked that out in 8 days
this year. Each year we start beginning of march but now we
are saying we should bump it up to st. Patricks because we
are finishing too early.

Sure, I could; I just don't care to. We have plenty of prior drafts in this league tp prove it. But, if that's the only point, we could just auto draft/live draf.. Those are very fast, I've heard - never done one, cause they suck. What's more important to me is what is more fun.

Nevermind though, I surrendered this point last year.

We've had it in previous drafts but its never been turned on. Tree threatened to turn one on midway in the 2009 football draft, if I recall.

I don't think we'll have to worry about it. We've always had smooth drafts.

I was just deleting keepers from a temporary cheat sheet i printed and thought Jeter was available because I was Ctrl+F searching Derek Jeter and it was coming up empty. So I thought he was actually available. I mean I guess once I got over to Kafenatid I would have seen he wasn't available. But that would have held the whole draft up cause I would have surely drafted him. So it's nice not having to rely on others spelling ability. Or lack thereof.

I don't have any idea what any of you are talking about. I can't see anything in kanstapatid, and there are no picks listed here.

But it sounds like a bunch of picks have been made? Mariano? The a couple more, then jeter?

And now we are backing up?

How are you seeing all of this?

Great One: I'm looking at the draft thread. Jeter is spelled Jeter. I suppose you're talking about some other thread, but I can't imagine control f'ing anything other than the draft thread. That aside, if my lack of spelling profeciency alarms you, you're in for a bumpy f'ing ride.

Sorry didn't realize it was yours, Derek was spelled wrong. But yeah I kept searching "Derek Jeter" in the declaration thread. I can now see it spelled right on the draft site when I sorted "view all picks" by position so we are all good. He wouldn't have made it to me anyway, he would have gone right along with his buddy Mariano I'm sure.

I think we should build in some bonus for drafting quickly.

Maybe a rule where the player who drafts in the fastest median time has the option of stealing the draft position of the person with the slowest median time.
